AR Rahman Live in Concert 2011 Dubai - A Real Review

Show was in Dubai International Cricket Stadium – Commercial city of United Arab Emirates. I'd been to this fabulous stadium once for a cricket match, it was long time ago when the stadium just opened for matches. Construction sites everywhere, no proper road, no proper signs. Expecting to change things dramatically like real Dubai within few years was my mistake; nothing had changed, still in very awkward situation!

Show starts at 9 pm according to the event organizers, gate will open at 5 pm for the public. Get there to the stadium was easy, as I left home at 3pm; Fridays are holidays here, so no traffic jams one usually anticipates on Emirates road. But same problems persists, no proper road leading to the stadium, fine dust fog will cover your car if you happen to follow one in the front. Somehow parked the car and took a long walk to the stadium. Nice; I can hear music practice going on inside the stadium, AR Rahman crooning for his favorite numbers, may be they are checking the speaker and light settings one last time before the show starts.

There were a lot of people came even before me, its winter here; very comfortable weather (winter temperature is roughly 24 degree Celsius in this part of the world, almost summer time temp in western countries) I had a ticket for Premium Grand Stand that costs AED 250 (approximately $70). One security guard asked me to go to the other side of the stadium where the Grand Stand entry is. Some Egyptian security guards are there too, when I asked a guy who was always shouting at his colleagues seems like knowing everything about that stadium and event instructed me to stay there in the queue and that is the entry for VIP and Grand Stand ticket holders. I got relieved looking back to the queue; it was growing like an anaconda, decision to come early is paid off. All of a sudden that same guard came out and shouted “this is only for VIP and Standing ticket holders!” I got surprised; what the fuck is he saying? How come you put VIP and standing ticket holders together through one entry? Apparently nobody has a clue about the whole thing! I had a small spat with the guy who mislead me. Now I have to find the Gate 15, and for sure I will be the last one in the queue. No signage, nothing is written at the entrance except the gate number. Luckily the queue was just forming as the guides themselves just found out where the Premium Grand Stand gate is; so many unlucky ticket holders are just finding their right entry from different other queues where there were initially in.

People started pouring in, queue got larger and larger, the gate opened at 6 pm instead of 5 pm which they initially announced. It was very cold out there; because of open area and probably higher from the sea level the cold wind is blowing through hair and ears.

AR Rahman at his best! Humma Humma!

My initial feeling of seeing the stage was not very impressive; stadium too is not at all a big one comparing to other stadiums in the country. I chose a very good seating position where I can watch without any disturbance. Seats are dirty; I cleaned with bare hand and washed the hand with the mineral water which I bought it for AED 10. Outside I can buy 10 bottles for that money. OK, that’s how the events make money. That’s why they don’t allow bringing any food or beverages to the stadium as well.

Crowd started building, but not that much as I expected, or was I expecting too much? On time 9 pm the whole lights gone off, the stage bathed in a pool of blue light. Huge roar from the crowd…

Then beam of lights started blinking there and here with the escort of Sivamani’s drum skills. A thunderous clap and roar from the crowd, the reason, there is a man standing in the middle of the stage like a silhouette. It just looked like he appeared from the smoke. More lights to the man, his face showed on the big screens that placed both sides of the stage. With a goggle. Unmistakably he is the reason for all these people are here including me! In unremitting clap and cheer, a very familiar voice rose up

“Nadaan Parinthey…” AR Rahman!

Surprisingly the sound quality wasn’t good enough. Stage was superb with a lot of digital displays and projector lights, the sound quality wasn’t up to the mark compare to ARR’s other music concerts. Not even close. There is no pristine sound, it all sounded like under the blanket! The sound engineer should be fired or cut his salary for two events!

Aaromale.... Superb rock!

As usual AR Rahman stole the show. He was there from the beginning to end. Incredible energy, superb selection of songs, still you will carve for more from the maestro. This time he did not come with a lot of established singers like Hariharan, K.S Chitra, Sukhvinder Singh, SPB etc. And that shows in the show. I think from now on AR Rahman should take at least Hariharan with him! Whatever it takes; he can lift the whole event into another level. No doubt!

Shivamani was in full form, so is Stephen Devasya. Mohit Chouhan is one lucky bastard, now he is the new talk of the town, sharing the stage with none other than AR Rahman! The Rock Star Movie changed his fortune, became a very busy man and even bigger celebrity over night!

Slum dog Millionaire music bit...

My pick of the lot from the event is the Rock version of "Chiku buku chiku buku railay" sung by AR Rahman’s childhood buddy Suresh Peters! It was mind blowing! I think with those heavy metal rock beats and lead guitar; even today it can be a block buster! Even after nearly 19 years it sounds fresh and joyful!

Another master piece was ARR’s combination song with the great Lata Mangeshker where he played the track of the legendary singer and her video showed on display screens. It almost looked like she was there in the stage singing with AR Rahman. Great idea and execution.

Next one is where a Saxophone player (kindly let me know his name if anybody knows – definitely not Kadri Gopalnath) came to the stage and started playing cat and mouse game with the crowd. He plays one piece and crowd repeats it, it lasted a minute or so, people started laughing and suddenly a very familiar tune he played along with Shivamani’s big bang drums. It swept me off the ground! OMG, crowd erupted, people gone mad…

It was the very famous “ Humma Humma” song from the Maniratnam movie Bombay! Unbelievable response from the crowd, AR Rahman sang the song. No rap insertions, neither Blazee nor Fernadous. Still it sounded too good!

Alphonse sang the rock number “Aaromale…” perfectly. He won few young hearts for sure as there was loud applause from the audience.

Finally the youth anthem, the happening number…

Sadaa Haq!

Again wonderful rock music, I only hoped for the better sound quality.

AR Rahman packed up with his patriotic song Vande Matharam.

It was a 3 hour show, while coming out of the stadium I was carving for more like thousands there, 3 hours are very little time.

Torture again to come out of the stadium; I must say driving centimeters away from the car in front is a skill. Only one way available for all those thick crowd to go out. It took more than an hour just to go out of the stadium area.

Very bad organizing, very bad event management, really bad location, and poor sound quality. Despite of all these shortcomings I would definitely go again if there is an AR Rahman show. He is rewriting even the way the music show is conducted on the stage! He is god gifted real Rock Star! His humbleness and way of talking like an innocent child would melt your heart. His voice is recognizable even in sleep. When he dedicated two songs to his fans by saying “these songs are only for you” everyone sitting there including me felt personal.

Thank you AR Rahman for endless entertainment; thanks for surprising us with your sheer innovation and guts to experiment. You are the music guru, and you will be the only one!

Whites Whitewashed Tricolors!

Speechless!

India went to England with lots of expectations, carrying the tag of No.1 Test team in the world. Coming back not only being lost that tag to England but humiliatingly pushed to 3rd spot.

Whitewash 4-0!

Finally Gavaskar said something sensible

The No.1 team does not lose like this, backed up by his deputy Ravi Shastri "It was a combination of a lot of factors - injuries, lack of form. But this is a rude wake-up call"

Sachin Tendulkar came agonizingly close to a phenomenal 100^th international century before a pathetic India slumped to an innings and eight runs defeat in fourth and final cricket test to give ruthless England a resounding 4-0 series win.

It seems like every Indian all over the world want Sachin Tendulkar to score a century rather than India saving a test match collectively. Everybody was praying over the net for Sachin not India.

Sachin is a great player, but he did not click in this series, and his century will not make India No.1 team again. Hard pill to swallow!

Dhoni found a new way to get out in this series, fishing with the bat outside the off stump over and over again. So stubborn he is; he will never stop playing that shot. Stick the bat to the ball swinging outside off stump, apparently he wanted to hit that for a four, it is not happening and he keeps trying. Wasted 8 innings just trying that, and by look of it; he is good enough to try another 8 innings!

Dhoni’s explanation after the Indian debacle is even more dangerous than team India’s test cricket future. He was explaining about each and everybody’s injury, sick and diseases. It appears that everybody in that Indian team is sick or injured, so are they gone to England for medical attention or playing cricket match?

Gautam Gambhir played well as a 9^th batsman, he had an eye sight problem according to Dhoni, he can’t spot the cricket ball!

How the fuck you sent this left hand batsman with blurred vision to face Stuart Board and James Anderson’s bouncing balls! What if a bouncer squeezed in through the helmet gap? According to Dhoni; any way he can’t see properly, now let him have his eye sight worsen by the cricket ball so when he goes to the doctor there will be something significant to show!

We must admire two individuals in this test match for their determination and skills. One is undoubtedly Rahul Dravid. Real Wall. After watching the hot spot reply he wasn’t out in second innings. It proves that if a batsman is unlucky not even DRS system can save him! The second one is Amith Mishra, not for his bowling skills but batting, in fact he batted better than Sachin Tendulkar in that innings of 84! Packed with 10 fluent fours. Lofted shots, sweeps and lovely straight drives. Man this guy got talent as a batsman, what is he doing in bowling department?

Sack Suresh Raina in next test, get another batsman (not Yuvraj please – we don’t want to give rotten potato for rotten tomato) include this chap, he will try to bowl and definitely he will bat.

Wait… what was that so called Kerala Express was trying to do on that last ball? Trying to hit over the oval or trying to hit on his own helmet? Even if it connects it looked like to shoot over his head for a catch. Oh god, who will teach him?

Now the story is over.

India pushed back to 3^rd position.

Sachin Tendulkar did not score his all important 100^th century.

(After failing nine times in nervous nineties in test, plus another 17 near misses with tons in One day Internationals, he is now biggest chokers in world cricket)

Sehwag’s hyped up come back did not even made a trace.

One thing got to tell you guys; don’t ever say that Sachin Tendulkar is not after money.

He is!

Orange Flame!

OK, here is the team that has no relevant to the state that represents.

Kochi Tuskers Kerala. No owners or players are from the state, and they picked up the players from the auction table whom didn’t hurt their bank account either. Only Keralite Player who fancied as their ace card been paid so much more than what he really deserves now sitting out of the team because of the poor form with the ball.

When Sachin Tendulkar scored a sensational century against Tuskers the whole brand new stadium been literally blessed! We will see more cricket matches there in the future. But I don’t think the stadium is jam packed as what Mr.Ravi Shastri had wrongly conveyed. The camera man accidentally showed some empty gallery, his salary in this match will be under threat for sure!

Sree Santh who is sitting on the bench told his good pal Harbhajan Singh how Mumbai captain Sachin Tendulkar supporting his team Kochi Tuskers Kerala by wearing the orange cap. This time SreeSanth cleverly kept a fair distance from Bhajji while talking. Anything and everything you see in Orange is color of Kerala. Not green anymore!

Munaf Patel improved his bowling excellently, but not even an inch of improvement on the fielding, when the ball goes to the boundary line where Munaf is guarding; every Munbai Indians would give up as boundary, few over ambitious souls like Sachin and Bhajji will be hoping and praying for the wonder like Munaf jumping or sliding on the field to prevent a boundary to happen! So far wonder didn’t take place. Sorry.

Harbhajan Singh got a better chance to give an extended explanation to Symonds in point of fact what had happened a long time ago when he called him Monkey. In fact it wasn’t monkey, it was Teri Makki…., In India that is worse than calling someone a mere monkey! Dude, this 6 foot and some inches tall giant can knock Bhajji down with a slightest pat, do you guys still remember how Symo had floored a streaker in Australia? It would be good if Bhaji remember that more than us.

McCullam cut loose on Mumbai Indians, one- because of some poor fielding effort from Mumbai team that cost them the match, two – because of the fact Sachin had scored century! How many times did we seen Sachin scoring century and losing the match!

Ravindra Jadeja got excited over their first win that too against the No.1 team in the IPL chart so far. He hit two consecutive sixes to bring home the victory. Fair enough, today is (15 April) the Malayalam New Year in Kerala, a celebration called Vishu. No one including their captain said anything about Vishu nor wished a prosperous Vishu to their ardent fans home. That is cementing the fact what I said in the beginning of this article!

IPL Fungama! Let's Start!

So there it is. If you are in a pub celebrating historical Indian World Cup victory; take your next zip of beer after a while, IPL has started rolling!

New Team Kochi Tuskers Kerala proved from their first match against Bangalore Royal Challengers, they are going to be the savers of KKR this year. They will never allow KKR to touch the bottom line; it is booked and taken by Mahela Jayavardane’s KTK this year! Sorry to disappoint you Mr.SRK.

Look at their team, highly inconsistent cricketer McCullum who always try experimental shots to get out as their opener, Test specialist VVS Laxman, choker (not joker) R Jadeja (OK, I changed my mind, he is bit of both), even Australians won’t agree if I say Hodge is a good T20 cricketer. Then Kerala’s Super Hero Sri Santh. If anyone think this team can make in to semi finals of this year’s IPL require urgent medical attention!

Sree Santh is a Sachin Tendulkar of Kerala, Sree Santh even started growing hair like Sachin Tendulkar once was in his early career, Sree’s hair had out grown his head such a degree, once the cricket ball bounced after accidentally hitting his head err, hair!

The whole gallery was cheering for him in Kochi Stadium, and he himself had puzzled seeing a good portion of crowd chanting his name. Sree Santh never allowed crowd to cheer for him in his entire career till now. He had seen pinching himself and patting on his head out of utter disbelieve. “Am I gone mad or the whole crowd gone mad?” He even gave a flying kiss to the crowd after taking a first wicket in this year’s IPL.

KTK’s jersey is very vibrant, colorful and energetic, unlike their players. At least one thing they got it right on that perspective.

As usual KKR started with a defeat. But this time the margin was less. So definitely there is improvement from last year!

ICC World Cup Snippets – Part 3

World Cup is over but Indian cricket fans all over the world still refuse to put a stop on celebrations. Not all of them are happy like Indians. There is a country that moans even now!

A criminal case filed against Pakistan Captain Shahid Afridi, Information Minister Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan and Interior Minister Abdur Rehman Malik for murdering three Pakistan cricket fans!!

How do they murder? It requires little explanation – Three Pakistan men died of heart attack after their team lost to India! A lawyer filed a petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking a judicial probe into the defeat of Pakistan cricket team in the semi-finals, played in Mohali India.

Azhar Siddique, advocate claimed that the government deliberately got its team routed due to its friendship with India. So indirectly Shahid Afridi and his fellow Pakistanis are murdered their own fans by playing shoddy game!

This took exactly 2 hours and 52 minutes for a supporting staff to put in plain words to Pakistan Captain Shahid Afridi! Still he asks in extreme perplexity “lekin, may kaisa khoon kia yaar? I did not see those guys died in my entire life. I really don’t know them! How can I kill them?”

Pakistan wicket keeper Kamran Akmal was in the lime light throughout the tournament more for bad reasons than not. Akmal’s calamitous performance behind the stumps against New Zealand unleashed a stream of criticism and paved for the younger brother Umar to take over. Kamran promised Umar two choco bars and a lolly pop if he can find some way to rescue his elder brother from this extreme jeopardy! What did Umar do, he hurt his finger and then ankle to prove that he is unfit for wicket keeping job. In fact Umar is very clever; he killed two birds with one stone. By seeing his brother struggling behind the stumps he is not at all keen to take up the job, one way or other he would be slipping away from this suicidal post, which is what exactly he did with 2 choco bars and a lolly pop!

You will see the matches interrupted by the fanatical crowd throwing water bottles and placards to the ground, because they can’t bear to see their team be defeated. Here the story is different, Bangladesh cricket fans stoned at West Indies team bus following their home team’s defeat against Caribbean! So this really is a serious threat! Bear in mind, if anybody wins against Bangladesh will face same consequences!

Colombo organizers were a little too quick off the mark with the firework display arranged to coincide with the end of Muttiah Miralitharan’s last appearance on home soil. Thilsan Samaraveera was still seeking the winning run against the New Zealand when the night sky was prematurely lit up. A New Zealand batsman asked so sympathetically after the match “Are they really over bored of Murali? Seems like they just wanted to send him off as quickly as possible!”

Aspiring actress Poonam Pandey who has grabbed headlines for stating that she will bare all if Team India wins the World Cup, has been flooded with offers from foreign glossies, international magazines and even some adult toy companies. See how a 19 year old intelligent girl making money and building her career along with cricketers who played in the world cup! Every one expecting a live naked show after the Indian win got disappointed. Poonam said it is only for men in blue, not for everyone! She sent an official letter to the BCCI saying going naked for the team would have a ‘therapeutic’ effect on Team India and help them win! In the letter she wrote “…I want India to win the Cricket World Cup 2011 and am willing to go the extra mile to do anything so that India wins the World Cup. Congratulations to team India for winning the World Cup 2011.

Congratulations to MS Dhoni for not only leading India to victory, but hitting a huge six to win the cup! It says all. How strong the team India is. How dominant they are over their oppositions.

It was like a Bollywood movie, never seen before fielding effort, a guy who scored 155 runs in total from all previous matches scored unbeaten 91 in Final, brought home the all important World Cup with a dramatic six! A pacer who left out after the first match has been called back over a successful spinner! A left handed batsman who was under threat all the time with his cricketing form and personal life debacle been rose like a phoenix bird to become an all rounder and man of the tournament! A master batsman who had every single record under his name except the World Cup lifted the cup to fulfill his dream!

Boy, what a moment, what a glory! It can’t get any better. This trophy is mother of all trophies!

Next day after the clash of two giants in World Cup semi final I went to a salon to have a haircut. Those Pakistan hair dressers seem like so dejected and frustrated, I did not say a word about cricket till they finish their job on my hair, I was really scared of losing one of my ear between their scissor blades if I utter a word about cricket!

I thought it was so strange when I noticed they were watching a Chinese channel on the TV, err.., they were listening to the Chinese channel on TV. Before going out of the salon, after opening the push door completely I asked the hair dresser, “Why are you watching a Chinese channel? Do you know Chinese?”

“Every fucking channel is talking about that chootiya khel cricket. We had enough, all bullshit!” One of the men grumbled with an astonishing anger!

“But that is only a game, one team has to lose. Both teams cannot be qualified for the final game” I put forward a general theory.

“Then why can’t you guys lose the game?” one of them shouted!

I closed the door and walked away, immediately I understood the intensity of the situation! After a while I turned back in fear to check if they are coming after me with a scissors to cut my neck?

I would say the empathetic Indian win against their neighbor should contribute a lot to Pakistan cricket team itself for their dropped catches, sloppy fielding, run out chances and Kamran Akmal. The Pakistan wicket keeper did something right only to make Goutham Gambhir out. Otherwise he was in his usual form.

Man of the Match Sachin Tendulkar should gift his trophy to Pakistan’s Mis bah ul Haq! He is the one worked hard to see India win. As fuming Pakistan commentator Rameez Raja said “if Mis Bah can hit a six like that in last overs (where there is no hope left) why couldn’t he hit one before?”

As long as Mis Bah Ul Haq is there in Pakistan cricket team India can win any tight, pressure cooker match effortlessly, remember T20 World Cup final?

Harbhajan Singh is under injury threat after taking two or three flying moths in his mouth following the wicket of Pakistan Captain Shahid Afridi! The insects entered in his mouth died immediately, one which narrowly escaped told his friends his three best friends sunk in a toilet bowl! Don’t ever fly nearby that thing, it is highly dangerous! If you don’t sink in it, you might get strangled in curly hair around it!

Another Indian Disaster!

South African victory over India was done when Ashish Nehra had been asked to bowl the last over! So good a man Nehra is, didn’t waste much of a precious time, within three bowls he finished the game and went to the dressing room to have much needed rest and an Orange juice! 4, 6 and 4. Game Over!

South Africa, needing 13 runs off the last over, broke the hearts of a adherent Indian crowd by pulling off exciting three-wicket win. There were pin drop silent in the gallery after the thick Indian crowd comprehended South Africa really won the match! But their real shock came little later when Indian Captain Dhoni defended the decision to give Ashish Nehra the last over of the South African Innings, saying the paceman has been doing a nice job and hoped that the laft-armer will win crunch games for the country later in the World Cup! That means we can expect same kind of horror in upcoming matches too! He is going to persist with left armer!

Difference between genuine quality bowler and not so quality bowler has been exposed in full public glare. Zaheer Khan’s over just before the disaster was top class; MSD most likely thought Ashish Nehra cannot be so bad to giveaway 13 runs in 6 balls that too against tail enders of South African Squad! Well…, Ashish Nehra proved that he is not only bad but dreadful by giving away 14 runs in 3 balls!

“Bowlers need to bowl at the right spots and if you are not doing that, more often than not, you are going to get hit. Bhaji (Harbhajan) was the only other choice but I thought a seamer would be better. Maybe I was wrong, but I thought that was the better option.” Dhoni said after the match.

Dhoni’s statement made a young man chuckle in the Indian dressing room; the young chap could not control his laugh even though dressing room was so tensed and gloomy after the defeat. Went out the dressing room and laughed till he got severe abdominal pain. A curious off spinner in the team who never got a chance to spin the ball till now followed the young pacer to know what is so funny.

“Bhaji will never agree to bowl last over, even if you point a gun at his head in point blank range!” While giggling, the aggressive paceman told the unfortunate off spinner who carries drinks all the time without a break. They spoke in almost same south Indian language, the third curious pace bowler followed them could not understand a single word out of their conversation rolled on the floor laughing! (One and only clue - He has got this inborn idiotic expression on his face all the time, even when he takes wickets, drop a catch or a miss field)

“Had we batted for full 50 overs, we could have got 20 more runs. What is important is you don’t play for the crowd you play for your country. We should have batted the full fifty overs. If we could have fielded better we could have made the score look bigger, but we’re not a side known for our fielding.” MS Dhoni continued.

Is he pointing at Yousuf Pathan, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh or Zaheer Khan for their batting for the crowd? In short Mr.Dhoni is concluding this match defeat by saying they should have bowled, fielded and batted better, that’s all, very small problem to rectify before the next match!

Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu and Abhishek Bachchan were few celebrities attended to watch the India vs South Africa match. Indian cricket team had given back what Bachchan and Bipasha had given us in recent times. Let them know the taste of disappointment. It is sour. Very sour!

Sigh! Sachin scored century – India lost the match one more time. Sachin was fielding like Virat Kholi, he was talking to the bowlers frequently, his presence felt all over the ground. Still his younger fellows could not give him a Man of the Match Award that he really deserved this time!

ICC World Cup Snippets – Part 2

India sweats hard to win the match against Netherland. Intention was clear from the beginning as Sachin and Sehwag started firing from all cylinders from the word go. Indians wanted to show the world and probably bigger oppositions that how strong their batting line-up is. All went little wrong when they lost Sachin, Sehwag, Yousuf and Kholi. Yuvi and Dhoni played maturely to avoid anymore wicket slides. Because there after left was heavy weight champion Bhaji who knows to attack only Australian bowlers, Ashish Nehra, who is still under the supervision of Sunil Gavasker’s batting coaching (apparently Mr.Gavasker gave up and asked Nehra to do only bowling, his fielding coach too gave up long time ago) and Zaheer Khan who is as stiff as Arnold Schwarzenegger when it comes to batting!

Yeah, I agree, Yuvraj put up weight, but he is performing better now! Churning out fifties at will! How is he doing this, when our journalist made a way to the back door of Yuvi’s recent success we surfaced an astonishing secret. Here we go; Yuvi is banned from going out to bars, pubs and discos by his Mom and coach. What they certain were, too much of beer consumption is the reason behind his weight gain. (Rumor has it; someone convinced Yuvi, Fosters Beer can make him like an Australian) Yuvi was frustrated, seeing the aggravation on his face, coach promised Yuvi he can go to the pub every time he scores 50. Trick worked! Rest is there for everyone to see, the young lad working hard for the team and for him! He already had two nights in the pub dancing with girls! We are hoping for him to have more nights!

Having seen his career plagued by one injury after another, Australian cricketer Shane Watson has decided not to over exert himself to keep injuries at bay ahead of their remaining World Cup matches.
The injury-prone all-rounder is well aware of just how much is too much for his body. Now he is planning not to play World Cup at all to keep away from injuries. Captain Ricky Ponting trying hard to encourage Watson to participate in World Cup remaining matches, according to Ricky, injury can happen anywhere, while walking you can step on some pebbles and fall down, a vehicle can come and hit you on the road, if you are sitting in the room doing nothing and watching TV a pair of gloves can hit the Television set and the TV can fall on your head!

Pakistan Coach Waqar Younis made it clear at the press that they are not interested to win the World Cup this time. Waqar hinted that Pakistan wicket keeper Kamran Akmal could be replaced after the World Cup!

"He (Akmal) dropped catches which cost us the match. But we can't drop him in the middle of a tournament," said Waqar. "We can think about it after the tournament but he is going to be around for now. We will try to rectify his mistakes in the break that we have got. We can't fix all his flaws in such a short span but we can give it a try."

Waqar ji, World Cup supposed to be the mother of all matches; I wanted to appreciate your choice of tournament to have just a try!

Bangladesh humiliation!

Either Bangladesh public is over ambitious or the team. Are they really thought they could win this world cup? Or they could beat every team that plays against them?

What a mismatch. What a shame. Bangladesh elected to bat, Captain Sakhib Ul Hassan probably thinking to score around 300 plus runs. Instead scored 58 (not an individual score, the whole team total) and allowed West Indies to win the match in 12 overs! Bangladesh public gone mad, they started throwing papers, towels and even jerseys to the ground. They booed so much restlessly after their team got out cheaply, the boos around the shere Bangla National stadium could still be heard even when the West Indian openers Chris Gayle and Bravo came out to bat.

Real humiliation; ruthless West Indies ripped the team Bangladesh in front of their own fans. In a way they turned their own crowd against them.

I won’t blame the crowd, they came to watch a match if not a win, they came with 4's and 6's cards, and girls came with their throat cleaned to scream, shout, and sing. Nothing happened, throughout the match they were kept silent by the performance of Bangladesh team, in fact Bangladesh fans were in a state of shock, forgot to react till the last wicket went down! When West Indies started batting they started cheering for West Indies batsmen, they cheered each and every boundary Gayle hit. OK, this is one way of enjoying the game, end of the day public is the one paid the money. Incidentally I remember a Japanese proverb “Better the beak of the hen than the tail of the horse”.

Why Indians didn’t appeal when Strauss edged?

The Indian team seems to have a “hearing problem” in addition to its bowling and fielding affliction which led to its failure to shield a strong score of 338 in the World Cup match against England on Sunday.

Much has been spoken and written about how poor bowling and fielding in addition to late batting collapse that resulted in the fall of India’s last seven wickets for 33 runs and nearly enabled England to win. I mentioned in my previous blog how happy Mr.Dhoni was to draw a match that was surely could have won hands down. I seriously think Dhoni should consult an ENT specialist before the next match for the betterment of Indian cricket. Zaheer Khan too should accompany Dhoni.

England skipper Andrew Strauss, who was the architect of India’s agony by scoring his highest score in ODI 158, should have been out when he has scored a mere 13 if wicket keeper Dhoni, Zaheer or close-in fielders had appealed for a caught behind at that point. Strauss clearly nicked a Zaheer delivery and waiting for an appeal from behind and the bowler, for his amusement there were no appeal! 98 runs later, the England captain had edged another delivery from the same bowler Zaheer with his score at 111 but none of the Indians on the field appealed! There is no excuse to blame noisy crowd. When Strauss trapped Leg before he was expecting same mute from Indians, but this time they did appeal and got him out. How sad!

All above matches have one thing in common, no. Not only Tendulkar’s centuries. India lost in all those matches. I am not blaming the little master for those losses, he did well his part but his countrymen failed to capitalize on his contribution. They let him down most of the time when he scored heavily.

Dhoni is happy to draw the match against England!!!

If Indian Captain Mahendar Singh Dhoni feels it’s OK to be drawn the match against England in their second league matches in ICC World Cup; then he has got some serious mental problem! Dude, your team scored 338 runs, yourself and millions of Indian cricket fans around the world were all expecting nothing less than a win! This time around you don’t even have a Sreesanth to blame, damn it!

No more hide and seek game here guys, Indian bowling sucks big time, England were scoring freely like a domestic match, just remember they have everything against them, toss, ground, crowd support. Under the flood light they should be struggling to score! At one stage it was like a certain win for England, they were cruising like a new Bugatti Veyron, till something suddenly happened to Zaheer Kan, was it an exorcism? Out of blue he came out and took 3 wickets! Twist in the tale. If there is no six in that last over of Munaf Patel, India would have been well home. Or there was no sixes in previous over of Piush Chawla….. OK, I am not going to count all the overs here.

It seems like England captain was quite happy with the result, he looked so relived and relaxed after drawing the match. He even shook hand with Peterson and other colleagues with a smile on his face, yet he said he was not happy about the result in post presentation talk, Nasser Hussain asked the same question to MS Dhoni, and Indian captain answered YES! He is OK with the draw! So Indians have no more potential to improve! That’s what he said right? They touched the limit!

This match showed even referring system is not error free. Yuvraj clearly got out Cambell in front of the wicket; Yuvraaj thought it is out, all spectators in the gallery, millions of viewers in front of TV sets thought the same, what more; Cambell himself thought he was out! Referral System came to play and it had a different go about it. Now we have to have 2^nd referring umpire to monitor the first one, if the first one fails the 2^nd one take charge, well… what if the second one too fail? J

ICC World Cup 2011 Snippets – Part 1

2011 ICC World Cup kick started with a beautiful boundary from India’s Virendar Sehwag. His survival as a batsman in the crease for the first 5 overs are running on 80% of pure luck. Next 5 overs 60% of luck, after 25 overs it is 100% talent with little or no luck!

Look at his game against England on their second match in world cup. First ball he faced turned into streaky four, well, he wasn’t teasing the team England with those half chances, he was hell nervous out there and Bangalore crowd was aesthetic!

Match between Pakistan and Srilanka too was a good entertainment. But wait…, a young Pakistan batsman jumped on the pitch while batting, apparently spoiling the pitch according to the umpire. Umpire called the batsman immediately and tried to explain not to jump on the pitch, poor Pak player didn’t understand a thing what umpire was trying to convey. Umpire jumped hard on the same surface to show the batsman not to do that!! Srilankan captain Sangakkara was pulling his hair out and finally pleaded to the umpire let it be, if he got it or not. Don’t show it on the pitch sir, we got to bat after this!

Sachin Tendulkar is a living legend, but he is not bigger than team India. Every tom dick and harry says India should win this year’s world cup for Sachin Tendulkar. What about the country? What about millions of Indian fans around the world? Less fortunate street ass riding on Tendulkar’s popularity is not new. Started by one time Sachin’s good pal Vinod Kambli, and it was like a domino effect everyone including Harbhajan Singh backing up the presupposition. Harbhajan Singh is well known friend of Sachin Paji, or Harbhajan created this impression about him and Sachin in media smartly responding on anything about Sachin, in return he gained so much of popularity, a lot of money from the ads and a place in Mumbai Indians in Indian Premier League, even his own state team Punjab Super Kings didn’t rate him so much!

Indian pacer Sree Sranth was very upset initially when he was left out of the World Cup team. He cried on the rooftop to pick up some sympathy (not exactly like how he reacted after getting slapped) Indian Cricket team chief selector Krishnamachari Srikanth compelled to answer the media questions when he visited Kerala; the speedster’s home state. In fact Srikanth was struggling to find a convincing answer. Praveen Kumar’s ill timed injury became blessing for Sri Shant, he played against Bangladesh in opening match and showed the world why he wasn’t picked in playing eleven initially. Now Srikanth is thanking Srisanth for clearing the cloud!

Gulf of Mexico Continues to Leak!

Based on recently revised estimates, BP's ruptured oil well at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico continues to leak 25,000 to 30,000 barrels of oil a day. The new figures suggest that an amount of oil equivalent to the Exxon Valdez disaster could still be flowing into the Gulf of Mexico every 8 to 10 days. Despite apparent efforts to restrict journalists from accessing affected areas, stories, video and photographs continue to emerge. Who said Indians are good T20 team? As long as they have Ashish Nehra, Yuvraj Singh and few of out-of-form players in playing side, they will never qualify as a best T20 Team. Pick up the players based on the current form.

I don’t know if you guys are getting this TV commercial, maximum performance! Yuvraj Singh says he is too fast because he has got maximum performance Gulf Oil, ironically this ad shows right after Yuvi gets out, so he goes to the crease and get back to the dressing room in maximum speed. OK, that makes sense. The ad didn’t mention anything about scoring. But dude, the commercial is too honest!

Guys, open your eyes, IPL will not win the place for India on world cricket map, it is international matches that require to win!

Actually what IPL is doing to Indian cricket in bigger canvas?

1 - Expose the vulnerability of the local players to the foreign players.

2 - Help Chief selector Srikanth to pick few out-of-form players for national side.

3 - Provide the warm up matches along with bags of dollars to the foreign players so they can beat India when it comes to the World Cup T20!

4 - And last not least, make Mr.Lalit Modi few millions richer!

I genuinely can’t find any reason why Yuvraj has not been dropped from national team! His batting sucks, bowling stinks, only fielding has little credibility worth mentioning. Get him as a substitute fielder!

Barbados pitch is like a dancing floor for Indian players, there are dancing black beauties on the side stage in bikini (I think there are more interesting bikini figures in the crowd) and there are dancing Indians on the crease with pads and bat! Still I prefer those girls’ dances.

We should listen to Indian batsmen too before criticizing them, as they enlightened us; we can duck down and avoid the bouncing balls, but man, this is not a test match, we got to hit the ball somehow and somewhere.

Why Mumbai Indians are potential winner of 3rd IPL?
They are the most balanced team in IPL this year with fearsome bowling department. Slinga Linga and Zaheer Abusing Khan are double edged sword in their armory. In spinning department they have the slapping expert Bhaji puri! You may ask, then how did they lose in last two editions of IPL. Well the answer is their super star batsman wasn’t in real form in last two editions; now he is. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. He is the difference between Mumbai Indians and other teams.

A captain who plays with his heart and soul is none other than Rajasthan Royal’s Shane Warne. He sweats, he sledge, he spit and he grunt. But ultimately he wants to win the game at any cost. In fact this is how every captain should be isn’t it? In this third edition Rajasthan Royals is the only team which crossed 200 twice with being all out for less than 100 runs. Their star batsman Yousuf Pathan scored stunning 37 balls century in first match and scored duck in his next one. With Watson back in the side Rajasthan Royals became stronger. But I guess it is too late for them to beef up the side. As I type this article RR lost to Mumbai Indians where Mumbai Indians enter to semi final first time ever in IPL. RR has a slight chance to enter into first four only if they win their remaining matches.

Delhi Dare Devil Captain Gauti thinks RR is pretty ordinary team. He didn’t hide his feelings either; called RR an ordinary team on air and drew Mr.Modi’s ire! Mr. Chairman and Commissioner demanded Ghabir be charged with a Level 1 offence! It is no secret that RR is Modi’s favorite team.

What next? There is shocking news that Lalit Modi is planning to have two kind of IPL; IPL in India and IPL overseas. Last year’s surprise success in South Africa made him to think to have two IPLs! Ladies and gentlemen, if you are not aware of it till now, Mr.Modi is forming a parallel cricket world that will run throughout the year!

I must admit that their marketing guys are awesome! Look how they brought young crowed in to the cricket stadium last year in South Africa via beauty contest! Self proclaimed beauties rushed to the galleries followed by hundreds of young chaps trying to get their attention. End of the day the stadium is full. Who would have even thought about having a beauty contest between a cricket match? Big applaud! You guys rocks!

This year there is strategic time out, in fact it is the time for more Advertisements. Money flows through every crack and holes. Each wicket falls, each over; there are Ads, so much so we even misses one or two balls after the Ads done with their never ending assault. Now; in between the balls they show us two top class Indian batsmen fighting for a mobile phone on big screen, “yeh mera hai, na mera hai… ha ha ha” excuse me, why can’t they buy two mobile phones and solve the issue? The whole cricket screen may shrink into half while you are watching your favorite player hitting a six. Half screen static ads and half screen cricket. I could imagine what will be the next. On the corner of the TV in a 10 cm box will be game cricket and rest will be the ads! Bravo!

For most of the players IPL seasons are carnival, foreigners as well as local players, they just wait for the season, lots of money, fame, liquor and chicks. Harbhajan Singh bought a HUMMER H3 vehicle, Poor Bhaji supposed to buy it on first edition of IPL, because of that stupid Sree Santh who stuck his face when Bhaji was waving his hand, lost opportunity and lots of money. He bought it in second edition so did MS Dhoni.

It is good for a number of aspiring regional players too; IPL brought them some light of hope and fame into their career. Or else all those Saha, Tyagi, Jakati, Sodi and many will not be playing in big stage like IPL, let alone for the national team. A player never been heard about before IPL was Ravindra Jadeja, instant success of the game gone into his head and decided to put his own price tag for himself and paid the price! Yes we are witnessing everything in IPL!

The owners of Chennai Super Kings didn’t bid for their own son Dinesh Karthik. MS Dhoni being a wicket keeper they didn’t see any slot for Karthik in the team. Now the rumors are Mr.SriKanth and company is lamenting big time for not taking Karthik in the team, as they think he is still good enough as a standalone batsman. Chennai Super Kings owners had personal and emotional value over Sri Lankan spin wizard Muthayya Muralidaran, because Murali is their “Sala”! Some Chennai officials are asking the owners “is Sala most important for you than your own son?”

If there is an award for patience I think it should go to commentator Harsha Bhogle’s wife. Man, this guy never stop talking, he talks whatever comes in his mind without a filtering process. Other day at the presentation party he said KKR’s winning captain Ganguly’s picture will come in next day’s news paper, another occasion he was asking his fellow commentator why Kevin Paterson is drying his sweat wet shirt, and I wonder what he will be doing in the bedroom with his wife. No act and a lot of talk! It will not help you Mr.Bhogle, I think you should have fixed your tongue rather than fixing your hair.

Ravi Shastri, another commentator with “tracer bullet” expression always talks about records. Yousuf Pathan scored second century in IPL history; Praveen Kumar became second bowler to get Hat-Trick wickets in IPL history; what the fuck, what is he mean by IPL history? Dude, IPL is only 3 years old. Consequently almost everything should be registered as history then! Hopeless case!
Commentators can be funny at a time and stupid most of the time! Look at this one for fun;
“Warner just hit a six, if he hit another six; it helps his team to add 12 runs.” My god, what a mathematician he is. Are you the brother of “a beautiful Mind” fame John Nash by any chance?

IPL 3 – The fun just began now!

I know I didn’t post an article here for a long time, let me tell you I wasn’t even given a thought to abandon this blog as most of you guys anticipated. I was busy writing for some entertainment websites and publications where I restricted like a clipped bird! Now I am back to the zone where there is neither teacher’s baton nor red signal lights.

IPL Edition 3 took more time than the previous two editions to take off among the crowd. One thing that sticks like glue throughout IPL was controversies; it simply refuses to stay away from this year’s IPL too.

Why Mr.Lalit Modi has to show the door to one of the BCCI selectors Narendara Hirwani?

The incident occurred on March 25, a day before the selectors were to pick the squad for the T20 World Championship, when the Mumbai Indians were playing their home game against Chennai Super Kings.

Insulted by the incident, Hirwani informed chairman Krishnamachari Srikkanth, who in turn took up the issue with BCCI secretary N Srinivasan. Hirwani, along with Surendra Bhave (West Zone) and Raja Venkat (East), have boycotted the event since then. But Srikkanth, who happens to be the brand ambassador of Chennai Super Kings has been seen at matches. The North Zone selector, Yashpal Sharma, happens to be a match referee for IPL.

Modi tried to downplay the incident. “It was a misunderstanding concerning accreditation. Hirwani didn’t have the ticket for the seat he was occupying,” he said.

With the BCCI assuring that it would order a probe into the incident, the selectors aren’t willing to come on record.

Wait a minute, what was the reply from Modi? Ticket?

If I am Modi I won’t even ask for ticket to a BCCI selector, oops! And that is what this guy is doing all over the gallery asking people to show up the tickets. No wonder why he is in the camera all the time!

Speaking on condition of anonymity, a selector said: “We were not there to see the cheerleaders. We had a World Cup team to pick the next day. The selectors have the best seats in town, but in the IPL other people are important. I am staying away from the game since Mr Modi insulted one of us.”

A genuine doubt arises here as this selector indicating most of them comes to watch the game is not actually interested to watch the game but cheerleaders. His second allegation if you put it in right (wrong) words will be somewhat this way “ every tom dick and harry has their own seats, SRK, Niranjan Shah, Shilpa Shetty, Prety Zinda what more; even Lalit Modi has his own VIP seat, why the fuck we don’t have one? We are not even requesting an air conditioned cabin like how most of these assholes are demanding”

He is right uh?

But the BCCI chief administrative officer, Ratnakar Shetty, claimed that the selectors are staying away because they want some rest. “The T20 team has already been announced, so they have decided to cover only the semis and final,” he said.
What a hard work it is to come to the stadium to watch cricket and have some snacks and cokes. It is even difficult to watch all those cheerleaders dancing those awkward dance steps. So they are taking rest. Who will let Mr.Ratnakar Shetty know that those thousands of people coming to watch cricket is just to take rest from their long day work and enjoy the game with popcorn and beer? Our rest is their work; I wonder what will be their real rest then?!!

The news roaming in town; Jaipur is planning to ban cheerleaders and beer bottles in the IPL venues. According to them those skinny dressed ladies are too obscene for the community! I think more than those ladies it is the camera man who should be banned, look where he is going with his stupid naughty camera! I don’t think except those 5% of the crowd who is sitting near the cheerleader’s podiums are even seen any of the girls face. (I know they are more interested in something else rather than the face) So who should be blamed here? None other than cameramen; isn’t it? Poor cheerleaders are busy practicing their dance steps in hotel rooms completely unaware of what was happening in outer world. By the way what the hell were they practicing, we all know what the dance steps they were referring to, one girl will be shaking those furs as if she got hysterics and another one will be giving the flying kisses to the camera man (mmmm, now we know why he love these cheer girls) the third one will be in absolute dilemma to shake her right leg or left leg, boobs or bums! Here we can see the lack of practice though.

Kings XII Punjab lost almost all of the games this time around, they tried everything possible to bring that winning momentum and broaden the smile and dimple of their lovely team owner Preity Zinta, they played Sree Santh in their team and then didn’t play Sree Santh for few matches; all these sort of experiments but unfortunately nothing seems to be working in their favor. There is only one guy who seems to be laughing in their dugout, Yuvraj! He has been sacked from the captaincy of Kings XII this year, he had a point to prove, boy, and didn’t he prove it in solid way? Except that Super Over match against Chennai Super Kings he always hit the cricket ball solidly to make sure to find some fielder under it! Earlier he had a fight with captain Sangakkara in the dressing room, Sangakkara was questioning Yuvraj’s careless shot selection where the short tempered left hander got furious over the issue, he shouted at everyone who questioned his integrity that he has been playing these kinds of shots throughout his career and he will be doing the same in the future! Sri Lankan player Sangakkara apparently failed to understand anything that came out from Yuvi’s mouth in tremendous pace and rush.

The latest is “Kings XII Punjab is for sale!” The co owners complaining about the loss they suffered during 3 IPL editions, now we beginning to hear some bad news from IPL fraternity. Underneath all those shining polish, glitters, fire crackers, bitches and cars there are some casualties!

To add the agony; the team is for sale for half the price!

No takers! Nobody wants Kings XII Punjab! Just bear in mind some idiots bought two more brand new teams for next year’s IPL, Kerala and Pune for millions of dollars! Still there are no takers for Preity’s team not even for half of the price! Isn’t it shocking?

Lalit Modi instructed the camera man to capture him on the camera not less than ten times in each game, the obedient camera men are doing exactly same what they have been instructed to, capturing different activities of Mr.Lalit Modi, such as picking up the nose, scratching the balls, try to peep into cheerleader’s cleavage, operating two mobile phones at one time, chatting with celebrities etc.

Incident which takes in our everyday life is not mere accidents! From the smallest one to the biggest, buying underwear to owning a car, your job, life partner, graduation, salary what more, even your name is not an accident!

Creepy uh? Let me explain, bear with me, I am not preaching philosophy or anything that sort, these are the truth and only truth!

I pulled up this topic to my best friend couple of years back, though she looked extremely interested, she didn’t understand completely or pretended to be puzzled. When I talked about latest buzz on the subject of Maria Carrey’s lingeries and make ups she dramatically awaken in a flash and never gave me a chance to talk again till I said goodnight!

Do you remember your first road accident? You have taken the straight road and suddenly thought about to buying a pizza, visit a friend or go to a particular shop; you have taken right turn in hurry to hear that bone crunching crash behind the car! This is just an example, the situation and thoughts will be different but the result will be the same. You came out of the car unhurt and found your car been hit and crushed by the vehicle rammed in, or in rare situations found your car with little damage and big dent on the vehicle that hit you!

Trust me, these accidents are not accidents! You meant to be on that road at that particular hour and second and it happened because it is the choice given to you! And let me tell you this creepy truth, it happened to someone before you and will happen again to someone who resembles your birth and brought-up situations!!!

I know you can’t take completely what I am saying.

God, Universe or the super power which almost all of us believe in is very fair to everybody. There are armies and kings, police and criminals, artists and politicians. These are the categories in human. They meant to do their part in professional and daily life. How they function is up to the choices given to them. I will make it more clear and comprehensible.

A king or a president will be gifted with growing up situations, opportunities, right and wrong, good and bad. If he takes the right path he may succeed as a great leader, or if he chose wrong path somewhere in the middle he may end up with a noose on the neck!

Now let us look at some history –

We know about them and their life because they are famous and every moment of their life has been written on the bricks of history walls. It is continuously happening with me and you but we never knew our life and opportunities given are happened before to someone and it is a repetition, fortunately or unfortunately it will happen again to someone who still has to be born somewhere in the world! Everything that happened to you going to repeat one more time to somebody as it happened to someone before you! Still you can change the destiny by choosing the right path. For example that road accident – if you think you will order pizza at home you may avoid an accident!

Sachin is not the greatest – An Answer to Atherton.

Sachin Tendulkar is a great batsman but to suggest he is the best ever is demeaning to those former greats who survived the bodyline series and stood at the crease without any modern-day safety gears, feels former England skipper Mike Atherton.

"To suggest that Tendulkar -- or, indeed, any modern, armoured or, to use (Viv) Richards's phrase, "pampered" player -- is the best ever is demeaning to those former greats who stood at the crease in the knowledge that their next ball could be their last," Artherton wrote in 'The Times'.

Atherton feels modern-day protections have made life easier for current batsmen compared to yesteryears and so it remains to be seen how Tendulkar's career would have shaped up if these gears were not available.
"Images of Tendulkar have adorned newspapers and websites throughout the week. Images, mostly, of the 'Little Master' at the crease, compact and balanced. So compact and balanced, in fact, that Bradman said Tendulkar was the modern player whose method most closely resembled his own.''

"There was, though, one crucial difference, which the image of Tendulkar on these pages on Monday highlighted. Perched on top of Tendulkar's head ... was a bright blue helmet and a grille to protect his features.''

"Tendulkar was batting in a One-day game, but had the image been of him batting in whites, there is a good chance that, along with a helmet, Tendulkar would have been wearing an arm guard and a chest guard, too. He is always amply protected," he wrote.

Mr.Atherton, Cricket is not a Wrestle Mania or Boxing ring. The bravery shown on the cricket field is not by taking all those body line balls on your nose and testicles! And no cricketer in the world had known for his ability to survive on the field from meteoroid balls. Even Don Bradman who been considered as the best batsman in the world is known for his records as a cricketer in numeric value. Not his bravery to survive body line balling. Just because some player in the past have dodged the bodyline balling doesn’t make them the best, if that is the case every player faced body line bowling would be greats!

For an argument one can say Don Bradman’s career revolved around only against English. The great batsman did not get a chance to play in subcontinents. That doesn’t make Sir Don Bradman less significant!

Mr.Atherton,to show your bravery there are a lot of other sports available widely to chose from, in your opinion you are saying the modern batsman should not wear the helmet and take those full toss balls on your face and those slipped Yorkers on your balls isn’t it? You did play cricket for long time and you are not even closer to Sachin or Ponting, why? Did you bat without helmet and guards?

I think Atherton is pretty tired of seeing too much of “Sachin the Greatest” news all this week. He needs to get a good sleep.

Atherton is an Ankylosing spondylitis patient. Ankylosing spondylitis is a painful, progressive rheumatic disease, mainly of the spine. It can also affect other joints, tendons and ligaments and other areas, such as the eyes and heart. If left untreated, the disease can cause progressive stiffening of the spine, leading to immobility. It is caused by inflammation in the joints between the vertebrae, and of the sacroiliac joints in the pelvis. As a reaction to the inflammation, a small amount of bone erosion occurs.

May be that is the reason why Atherton thought about body line bowling and pain! Not ridiculing him or his ability as a batsman but seriously I think that is the reason or I can’t find any better reason for him to bring this pain issue now.

Why Sehwag looks ridiculous when he gets out?

First of all let me apologize for the brief delay caused by my untimed vacation. Frankly speaking I went for vacation to forget about everything that related to my hectic job schedule and recession that caused dear to my business. But unfortunately I was so worried and restless at the time of vacation than when I was at work; got back my breath only after I came back to work! No, I am not a workaholic by any stretch of imagination.

Lot of cricket happened during this time and still is happening. I heard a joke from Ravi Shastri during his interview to a sports channel – Amit Mishra should have played a lot of first class cricket before he play big test match like this against Sri Lanka. My question to Ravi, Amit Mishra is part of the team every where the team goes in recent time. He never got a chance to play but carry drinks and towels to the crease for the senior players, how the hell can he be picked for the domestic cricket when he is part of the national team?

On the other side; everybody felt Amit Mishra bowled in negative line throughout the match, not to take wickets but frustrate the batsman hoping any one of them will get fed up and hit the ball high to gift a catch. Sri Lankan batsmen were very clever and patient so who got frustrated are thousands of poor viewers who were expecting a good match and those ex-lads in commentary box. Eventually Mishra conceded runs more than any other bowlers! 200 plus runs! That is a lot!

India played against their new rivals Australia (now Pakistan can take rest) in their own backyards. Virtually second row team that Australia came up with, had a lot of passion and fortitude which Indian paper tigers failed to understand. Or did they underestimate? I still believe Indians would have won at least two matches that they eventually lost due to immaturity of few players.

Sri Lankans are in India to give a stiff competition and they are giving everything to win first ever test match in India. No big terror on the surface in Ahmadabad even on fourth day. If anybody wants to prove his batting ability that should be on this pitch, lovely batting pitch till the time I am writing this article. One will be wondering why the hell Virendar Sehwag hit that ball high and got out! Still One and half day left, that is four and half sessions of cricket. Answer – Sehwag never consider a spinner as a genuine bowler and never give the respect. When Sehwag scored 296 runs in Multan he hit a six to make it 300. When a press personality wondered and asked him why did he decided to hit a six instead of taking a single or double Sehwag replied in his own lazy way “ I predetermined to hit a six to make it 300 if I get a spinner on my 296!” Never had he thought about the fact that he will be the first Indian to score 300 in a test match and it requires a lot of hard work!

But it is the spinners who make Sehwag ridiculous and cheap when he gets out! Isn’t it?

Champions Trophy cricket match is going on in South Africa. Team India had a brief stay on ICC top one day ranking list prior to the champions trophy. Precisely 24 hours and 14 minutes. After their defeat to Srilanka in second match of Compaq Cup, India dropped down to second position again. I felt better when incidentally or co-incidentally Srilanka became the tool for making India No.1 again by beating South Africa in Champions trophy in their first match! It shows how strong a team was holding this position for healthy elongated years! Australia were real champions, they fought on the field and off the field, they sludge, they accuse, they intimidate to stay on top, eventually that is what matters, not the pathways you chose; most important is how you get there to become numero uno!

By seeing Indian’s recent performances, one will have no expectations at all that the team will manage to stay at No.1 position for long time; compensating prolific batting with pathetic fielding is not just acceptable by any standard! Sitter catches have been dropped numerous times in recent tournaments and it reached its height in Compaq Cup, Indians has this ability to dive right or left only after the cricket ball passes by them, a chasing scene of the ball and the fieldsman near the boundary lines are a common sight now a days and unmistakably always the ball wins!

I guess it is the appropriate time to remember an advice given by the former Indian Captain Mohammed Azharuddin who was a brilliant agile fielder at the time of his crest – “A fielder who saves four runs are equivalent to the batsman who scores four runs!” Can’t digest his entire view though, Azhar’s own records are not talking about his fielding abilities other than catches he took.

A section of media has devoted their precious time to excavate deep into cricketer’s bed room. Certainly they found some jewels and pearls. Now these media personalities themselves have been left puzzled after breaking into this century old debate.

One fragment of media said it is good if they had sex two days before the match. Another one said it is better if they had previous night so no frustrations on the field. It is compulsory just like your fitness regime and travelling bag! I still confused about the word Mr.Gary had used – Night-time partner? Ok, whatever it is, leave it!

Coach found very good improvement in players right after his strategy came to light, everybody was happy, some coaching staffs and commentators also urging to the authority to have same kind of lovely rules applied on them as well. Few commentators with dyed hair prefer this sort of set up rather than hooking up in the night club, for the reason that more often the night clubs are turning out to be hard hunting ground for these old lions! Here prey is ready to be hunted and come in polished package at their doorsteps. (Only in foreign locales – at home none of them has the balls to try)

After a year or so coach Gary Christen has a doubt, is this approach really working? The player’s performance had improved but not on the field. Oops! Back to plan A – No more night-time partners! A pace bowler with big Adam’s apple cried a lot after that very bad decision. He was so fuming at one point, trying to explain to some senior players – still how some of the players are playing well then? Is this the only problem causing bad performance on the field? Obviously his questions are gone unanswered.

Now Gary Christen is totally upset about the fielding standards of Indian cricket team, he is not blaming the fielding coach Robin Singh for wretched fielding performance by some of the players, he knows very well it won’t make any difference either, Robin Singh will have a guzzle of Kingfisher beer and throw a stare at the coach as usual conveying through eyes you watch your business – “Gora” (White man). Flashing red underwear on the field after skidding through the surface on boundary line created a lot of laugh and fun in the dressing room among players, now everybody is conscious about it as nobody wants to attempt it anymore.

In my opinion only one option left for Mr.Gary Christen to improve the Indian Team’s fielding competence, which is switching back to plan B! Tell the players if you field well you get your night-time partners back plus some bonus point for extremely well fielded cricketers! Like two night-time partners or something like that!

Is John Travolta guilty of his son’s death?

Whenever I think about the renowned Hollywood actor John Travolta, the movie reel in to my mind is the famous John Woo directed “Face Off”. Nicholas Cage was another equally talented actor to act with John Travolta in this movie. By seeing what American media is trying to do to John Travolta, I think they are enforcing to replicate the story of this movie in his real life! One of the best reporters in the business told me they would rip off his mask to reveal the real ugly face of John Travolta! A kind of Face Off! I am really confused here now, is it sensational journalism or senseless journalism? Is it right to tarnish somebody’s image in public just to get the TRP soaring for their particular TV channels and publications? These scavengers will be more than happy and celebrate these kinds of events like Christmas and Easter when a big name like John Travolta is involved. Someone even call it news show, not news time or news hour. When the news became a show? Is it having any entertainment value? Will people enjoy watching or reading the news about massacre in Gaza and Iraq? Is it enjoyable to know American economy crisis or bomb blast in railway stations and market junctions?

Let me not discuss about it here, or else I will be writing a lot more than what I supposed to.

A famous TV channel and a press came out with this bizarre news; John Travolta refused medical aid for dying son!

The news bit came to the press through ever leaking local police department, a paramedic Trino lightbourne involved in this case. In the beginning nobody heard about this guy, everyone raised the eyebrows at the movie star. Public likes to stone at someone accused for wrong doings, if it is a celebrity they like it even more. In fact paramedic Trino Lightbourne is the one took John’s kid Jett to island’s Rand Memorial hospital, the 16 years old kid pronounced dead on arrival. Everyone was sad, John was literally sobbing with few of his family members and friends, everyone gone back home after that very sad and shocking incident. Like John Travolta and his family; there was one more guy who couldn’t sleep that night; he is none other than the paramedic Trino Lightbourne! Not because he was poignant of the demises of a Hollywood star’s son, it hardly evokes any emotion to him since he has been witnessing a lot of cases like this almost every day basis. The whole night he was webbing a trap to take advantage of the situation, knowing from friends and relatives the celebrities are soft target for making money. As expected he came up with a brilliant idea (at least that’s what he has been convinced) before the sun rise!

Jett died suddenly after a seizure at the age of 16 in January while he was on holiday with his family in the Bahamas, John Travolta is having a house in Bahamas mostly used for short vacations and relaxing trips.

After seeing Jett collapsing down to the floor John rushed him to the hospital by an ambulance, seeing his son struggling to keep the heartbeats ticking, Hollywood star thought he could rescue him in America where he has got a lot of contacts and much better place to get higher medical attention and aid. Most of the famous doctors in US are good friends of the actor. He asked the paramedic Trino Lightbourne in ambulance to take his son to the air port instead of hospital in Bahamas, Trino requested a senior police officer Andrew Wells to witness the signing of a “refusal of a medical attention” form.

It is heartbreaking for any father to see his own son struggling to take breath and fighting with life, John changed his mind after seeing Jett’s condition as he thought he can’t make it to US; decided to go to the Rand Memorial Hospital eventually where the 16 year old died before the arrival.

Travolta been blackmailed by the paramedic for 18 million pounds; Trino Lightbourne threatened the actor if he doesn’t give the ransom, face the press and public with shocking revelation that he is going to make about Jett’s death. John wasn’t sentient of the threat the paramedic posing. “What the fuck you gonna do it to me you son of a bitch?” Let us forgive Travolta for using such a harsh abusive language given the situation and emotional aspects of a father right after the death of his son!

“You give me money that I asked for or else I am going to change your celebrity image in press and public forever! I gonna turn you to a real bad man!” Trino Lightbourne replied fearlessly!

A devoted father who lost his teenage son is now fighting with the law to clear his name from his own son’s murder! John Travolta got everything enormous, fame, wealth and whatever he ambitious for including the air flight pilot license. When tragedy stroked he got it double!

Harbhajan Singh - When will you learn?

Harbhajan Singh is one cricketer who would never leave the lime light even in his sleep, while he suck the thumb in a nice deep sleep you go there to his home with a video camera; strangely you can find his middle finger rising at you – this is his automatic reaction to the media that no doctor in the world have the clue about! That is Bhaji as affectionately called by his fans and friends! He loves to stay in the news regardless of the way how he gets there. Slap gate, spitting, abusing, kicking, staring…you name it; poor fellow had tried everything possible to get his name in the news! He makes even more news after realizing that he did something wrong and necessitates covering it with some crap.

Harbhajan has this uncanny ability to piss off anybody who comes close to him in a mile or so just like his co-player Srisanth! If Sri is a grenade then Bhaji is machine gun, he gets into controversies in rapid pace and enthusiasm that nobody could match. In very rare occasions these giant bulls likes to meet in a ring. Last time when they scuffle in a Wrestling called IPL Wrestle Mania; Bhaji won the brawn game by a huge margin while Sri thrives in brain game. The fearsome pace bowler cried in public like a baby who lost the candy to bring much required camera attention. Nobody had an idea why this beast is crying including the commentators, Kings XII Punjab - Srisanth’s team in IPL; won the match convincingly against Mumbai Indians, hoist the doubt of having him overjoyed tears! When they watched the video; someone in the dressing room found that shocking reality - Preity Zinta the bubbly owner of Kings XII Punjab cuddled every team members except Sri! Is he upset and heartbroken by this merciless act by the movie star? No. Not at all – Bhaji gave him a tight slap, this kind of brainless act can be done by only one person in current Indian team that is none other than Bhaji. Srisanth’s cry caused Bhaji hell of lot money, his burning desire to buy a HUMMER vehicle faded like a line in the water. He bought one this year though, took two more years to fulfill his wish! Even his much sort after HUMMER led him into another controversy for driving the vehicle on Indian roads without proper registration or documents!

In Australian tour Bhaji called Symonds (another short tempered cricketer) “Monkey”! It triggered a lot of controversies even prompting Indian team to pull off the tour! Good for Bhaji this incident took place before the Slap gate or else BCCI will not be buying his version of it! Bhaji refused any wrong doings with the backing of few senior players in the team straight away. He explained “I never called Symonds monkey but I called him Makki Chooth! He misunderstood my native language as an English word!” The explanation was taken, Cricket Australia convinced completely. Bhaji let go without any major punishment, some players in the Aussies side were furious and dejected about the judgment. Now readers in the west will be wondering what did he call Symo in his native language – Makki Chooth means Mother Fucker!!! A term that is much more abusive and offensive than Monkey in India.

No doubt there is a huge cultural gap between west and east. Most of the part in India monkey is god, in some northern cities there are thousands of monkeys living openly in temples and nearby areas. Snatching food and other items from onlookers and hurting people are not a news there, can’t abuse monkeys or smack them, because according to Hindu believes those are “athma” (souls) of dead people, it can be your own ancestors! Who wants to smack their own grandpas?

The word “Makki chooth” is been used by low class uneducated people in India in extreme situations. You can measure the individual quality of a man in Bhaji here! He is the one been awarded by Indian government with one of the highest honor “Padmasri”. Being too big to go and accept the award the off spinner chose to get entertained and shoot for ads with few friends also evoked ripple of controversy!

To add the last one to Bhaji’s ever ending controversy list is jabbing a camera person in Bangalore Airport after the camera man brushed against him while filming. Indian Television channels showed clearly the spoilt brat Bhaji hitting the camera after the camera man pushed forward while the player was retrieving luggage from a car.

Media in India is like bunch of hungry wolves constantly searching for some sensationalism or bits and pieces of celebrity news, may be they knows better how to extract a news out of Bhaji! Succeed in big time, channels celebrated and filled their news hours with this not so important news!

Again Bhaji is in fresh storm. Like everybody does now days to come out of the cloud he too came up with his own version of the story in his own blog.

“I am facing the car, I have no clue what is behind me. The camera man is seen running towards me and the intensity and pace with which his camera clearly hits my head and it was not like just a touch, it hit me hard on my head and patka," Harbhajan wrote in his blog.

"I am very particular of being touched and hit at my head or my patka. As a prompt reflex, not even knowing what hit my head I pushed the object, realizing it after I pushed it that it was a camera. At no stage did I hit or slap the cameraman. Neither will I ever do it," he added.

But Mr.Harbhajan Singh, the camera eyes will not lie, it clearly shows that you are hitting the camera and staring at the camera man like a goon on the street! How long we people have to compromise on your behavior for your contribution to Indian cricket? Is there any problem with the way how you brought up or the transformation happened after you became rich and popular?

2003 World Cup Final – It was India v/s Australia.

I get a thunder bolt through my spine even now when I think about that match! Ricky Ponting and his boys literally torn apart the star studded Indian team by massive attack from the word go! I couldn’t take the fact that Australians were playing a final match and that even for a World Cup! They never been under pressure, Gilly started hitting every ball as if that is his farewell match and there were no second thought about his hittings; no bad ball and no good balls, all of them are for him to hit! Zaheer Khan succumbed under tremendous pressure; he was on receiving end from both openers Gilchrist and Heydan. Soon Ganguly ran short of ideas, he brought the spinners early to prevent the run flow, I still remember watching the match like an irritated wild animal in the cage, couldn’t sit in one place! Somehow Sourav’s move to bring the spinners early did the trick. Aussies 2/125. Captain Ricky Ponting came out to bat with Damien Martyn.

Ponting toyed the Indian bowlers with 8 towering sixes and 4 fours to score 140 runs from 121 balls, he dispatched the most applauded Indian bowling line up over the fence in fearsome regularity and incredible command – 8 sixes! The most from one batsman in any World Cup final match at the time! Martyn with a broken thumb scored 88 runs from 84 balls with 7 fours and 1 six, completed the partnership of 234 runs – an Australian record in one-day cricket! When the tempest settled down the Australian total was 359 for 2 wickets! A run rate of 7.18 runs per over was their second highest ever in ODI history!

I totally convinced that Australians got that extra supremacy and fighting spirit to beat any team in the world, the word “pressure “ was missing from their dictionary. India’s colossal run chase was made even more difficult after the trump card Sachin Tendulkar got out in the first over. Then it was a mare formality for India to give up for 234! All out in 39.2 overs! Emphatic victory of Australia by record margin in world cup final underlined their dominance in World Cricket. Ponting fetched man of the match award and Sachin Tendulkar was named player of the series.

I kept wondering those days, there were no real threat for Australians, they are in totally different level all together compare to other cricketing nations.

Everything which had the beginning should have an end; this is the rule of nature. Ironically Indians are the one showed the world; Australian vulnerability after losing few of their world class players from the list. Kumble’s men beat Australia in controversial test to begin with. It is hard to digest the fact that nowadays Australia is losing the matches more than they win! Finally they lost to England in legendary Ashes series to get hammered the last nail on their coffin!

What went wrong? How could winning graph of a team decline so badly after those consistent performances for a decade or so?

Australia always played like a team, there were at least three players who clicked in each and every game, if one fails another one step ups and make sure to score enough run on the board or take those crucial wickets in most critical junctures unlike most of the other teams. For example for a long time India was depending completely on Sachin Tendulkar, a dummy god of billion people in India failed very rarely in those days but unfortunately most of them were in vital final matches! Brilliant Brian Lara from West Indies was another example. On other hand Australia was with full of players not stars, if not Gilly then it is Hayden, if not Ponting then Hussey… the list continues.

Now Australia had shrunk in to a phase where everything is their captain Ricky Ponting. You can easily spot out that Aussies is depending heavily on Ricky Ponting’s batting in recent times, if he fails to deliver Aussies struggles to save the game. It is Ponting’s inconsistency that sealed England’s victory. After scoring 150 in second test match he couldn’t pull up the socks. A great attacking batsman that he is, having a huge impact on team Australia is invariable. I am knocking down the points of critics over the team selection; it is not team selection that put an end to the most victorious team in the world but a captain who shouldered great weight of responsibility, lack of talented players to come up and fill the shoes of those legends who retired recently, top of all drained out ideas of a captain on the field simply because he is not just used to be in losing situations!

I feel Australia is still a team to reckon with. It is hard to beat them even after revealing their susceptibility. But how long will they take to create another Gill Christ, Mathew Hayden or McGrath? This is the question worth a million dollar!

Virender Sehwag – Up against politics in Cricket!

Virender Sehwag is one cricketer who has such an uncluttered thinking head on his shoulders. Otherwise who the hell on earth can think of hitting a six when you are on 290s? If Sehwag scores 60 runs in one day match you just can’t afford to go to toilet to wee, by the time you come back he will be on 80s, if on 90, he will be raising his bat to celebrate century after two balls! It could be other way around too, he may be walking back to pavilion after a foolish upper cut, but luckily for his number of fans it happens very rarely, when he get going cricket ball finds its own way to boundary lines.

Now Sehwag is up in arms against his own home cricket association DDCA. It took some courage on his part to air his bitterness over the functioning of DDCA. In a way at present concerning his continuing absence from Indian team owing the shoulder injury and rehabilitation reflects Viru’s frustration! For sure I am not leaving his outburst as just hot air. If there is a smoke there will be a flame somewhere underneath.

Corruptions in India is very much reality. Even at the junior levels, merit alone never has been criteria for selection. The authorities are as much prone to bias and prejudices as your colleague accountant who envy your benefits from the boss!

I had a high profile foot ball player neighbor in India – Najeeb, his brother was my friend and school mate, through him I came to know the basics of politics in Indian sports, it is not necessary that you get a space in national team merely on the basis of performances, certificates won’t tell stories, it required a lot of behind the scene game skills and a brave heart. Only few players who got good talent make it into the national team, so when you see a fully fledged football team next time sweating on the ground, just keep it in your mind you are not watching the best players available in India! There are coaches, coaching staffs, management and other staffs. You should be extremely lucky to be from one of these asshole’s states to get attention that you desperately looking for! Even if they find you that you are from his own state he will ask your father’s name, ancestral house name and even may send you to the market to buy some fish for his dinner! I am talking about comparatively low profile game in India - Football, cricket is bigger in India unlike other countries, it is on really big canvas, big audience, huge advertisers, and mammoth money turn over. Obviously the politics turned out to be a bit polished over here; nevertheless the ultimate result is the same. I still remember once Najeeb broke his leg during a match, he struggled a lot to get back on the track, no, not because of the time he took to recover from the injury but to get back his slot from a biased selection that caused him his place in the team!

I witnessed from the close quarters the politics our sports administrators play. They are immune to public criticism and totally unafraid of the media. What we do get to see is merely a tip of the iceberg and nothing is what it appears to be. Look at our national selectors – when there was selection committee from Mumbai there were full of players from Mumbai, playing ones and non playing ones, when BCCI influenced by Kolkatta lobby there were rushing waves of Kolkattans at the main door, none of them could make it because of lack of minimum 25% talent that require to play cricket! Top of all they all were quite happy to have one Bengal tiger that too as a captain. So no complains! Now we have Kris Srikanth as chief selector, Badrinath is one player always made noise in Chennai news papers pleading to BCCI to take him to the National Team. “for god sake, please allow me to fail, I won’t ask you anymore, let me play once for India, let me fail…” Srikanth took his countryman to the team when he got the power, as prophesy of his own, Badrinath failed but didn’t stop insisting, yeah, this time he changed the sentence “for god sake, please allow me to play!” Now this is much better, at least not negative.

Viru is the latest sports personality to hit out at the sports administrators. I hope Viru didn’t dig his own grave; BCCI is looking at the incident very carefully as they are extra cautious not to make a Frankenstein. To sustain in the team Viru has to work really hard from now onwards, he will have to hit many more sixes and fours, play each innings as his last innings! Just because he is up against very cunning opponent this time around!

Memories of a driver!

Years ago for those working in Bahrain's Malls the person covered head to toe in a black veil, gloves and glass appeared to be a rich doting Saudi mother, leaping one aisle to other to select children's shoes, clothes and toys. The lady came in shining Rolls Royce with all the blink blink and couple of security guards.

But why would a woman wear a man's shoes? Why those body guards? And why did the person's fluid moments so familiar?

"As soon as we guessed it was Michael Jackson we started playing his music in the store" Said Bijesh Kumar a supervisor at Euphoria Music store. "But he was so scared he told the body guards to stop the music" Jackson did sign the autograph for us. Kumar said.

Jackson, his three children and assistants headed in to a Mother Care store in Marina Mall - Bahrain, the pop icon spent almost an hour sprinting around buying $2000 worth of clothes and toys said Laila Al-Aradi the cashier.

But while he was waiting for his assistant to pay Laila noticed the person in women's abaya is wearing men's shoes!

"I looked at him and mouthed Michael Jackson!" She said "but he wagged his finger at me to caution me against calling his name aloud"

Jackson made his way to the shoe store, the shop assistant thought he is assisting a wealthy Arab woman till he heard some Bahraini girls screaming " Michael Jackson!" out side the shop. The girls were trying to convince the cashiers and shop keepers there is Michael Jackson inside their shop!!

Crowd started growing in thick by the time MJ finished his shopping, shop manager had a real surprise to see MJ in his store, he regained his mental stability immediately and acted wise to help Michael Jackson and his kids to escape. MJ wanted to go out through emergency exit, since there is no emergency, the manager couldn’t open it. The mall's main door was packed with photographers and fans; there were a sizeable crowd at staff exit as well, people gathered from all directions to have a glance at their favorite star.

At the point, the women with Jackson asked their driver Ramesh to get some scarves for the children, which she wrapped around their faces before the Shop Manager showed the way out through the back door.

By the time Driver Ramesh drove 2006 model Rolls Royce to the back side of the mall. Before leaving the mall Michael Jackson didn't forget to shake hand with the shop manager and say ' Thank you!"

Ramesh remember everything, his eyes filled with tears when talking about his ex-boss. Ramesh 38 was one of Jackson's three personal drivers when he lived in Bahrain for a year from 2005 till 2006.

When MJ's funeral took place in Los Angels, Millions of fans who watched it all around the globe, there was grief stricken Ramesh's family in Kerala, one of the southern states in India. Tearful Ramesh couldn’t control his bereavement, as he looked at his kid, who was holding tightly the doll that MJ had gifted!

Like all those thousands of critics, who only knows about Michael Jackson's wired attitude and dance steps, saw other side of MJ only when King of Pop's daughter cried and referred Michael Jackson as "a best daddy in the world" at the funeral function. That was in fact a light into MJ's personal life; the critics were amazed to know about the pop icon's humanitarian face, personal life, and struggle.

Ramesh didn't know much about MJ's celebrity status and how big he was, though he was aware of his popularity, songs and dances. MJ directly interviewed him with his Secretary and Manager.

"He was so kind and very friendly with all of us, He told me that I could be free with him and could share our joys and sorrows with him. Jackson's children Prince, Paris and Blanket also lived with him" Ramesh recalled fondly.

Ramesh Stayed in on the job till Jackson and his family left Bahrain at the end of 2006. The Showbiz's most brightest and mercurial star never forgot his driver even after he left Bahrain.

"Even after he left Bahrain, he called me twice. The last call came when he wished me Happy New Year in 2007" Said Ramesh who currently working as a shop keeper in Bahrain and is home on leave.

Tuesday night was tough for Ramesh. The family gathered around the television set to bid adieu to the former boss, who was revered as much as he was reviled, as his funeral was broadcast alive to millions around the world.

"My son Tanuj was holding a few toys that Jackson gave me for him just before he left Bahrain. All of us watched TV and we were sad. I can't believe he is no more," Ramesh said, remembering how the strange star covered his face every time he stepped out with his children.

"If you meet my former boss you will be wondering is this the man in all sort of controversies? I never believed anything came in news papers and TV channels against him and I am not going to believe it either, those spiteful yellow tabloids who tarnished the image of this very good human, let alone his celebrity status, will be questioned by god tomorrow!" Ramesh's words got caught in grief and broken.

Over the past month, Indian item girl Rakhi Sawant left the country in terror as she met, appraised and selected finalists fitting the mould of her ideal groom on the reality show Rakhi Ka Swayamwar.

Rakhi gone ahead and done it! She pulled off a stunt that many are still trying to get in grip with. Rakhi Sawant's wedding on TV was a success with Toronto-based Elesh Parujanwala being selected as the chosen one to marry a woman who jerked the audience through TV and Cinemas with her belly and cleavage. Undoubtedly she is one loudest mouth in Bollywood without any direct competition.

Most of Rakhi's co-workers from Bollywood laughed at the show in the beginning; gradually the laughter had given the way to serious thinking, the TV channel made a lot of money through advertisements and other marketing strategies. The final output was nothing less than an instant hit!

It was a real shock to see those well groomed, handsome and wealthy business men from inside and out of India coming ahead to get married with a woman who can barely act, smile and talk decent topics if that is the measure they put forward for a best bride to be. Even more shocking to see is Rakhi Sawant in a mask of a bashful, coy Indian bride with a rose garland in her hand! What a transformation! Excuse me; did I say she can't act? If yes, I meant only in movies!

Bollywood sex siren who made the Indian version of American dating show The Bachelorette a hit – says her groom will have no choice but to meet her lofty standards.

"Let me make it clear, I will not marry now. All I am going to do is choose a groom tonight. We will date for one or two years and let me see if he passes my test. He cannot touch me or marry me until he finds a well-paid job and buys a posh three-bedroom flat in Mumbai. I will not compromise on any of these."

Rakhi's demand would make any serious suitor break in to sprint. Couldn't understand why she need three-bedroom apartment in Mumbai though. Why not two? One could be for couple; second one can be for visitors, and the third one? OK, I am not letting my imagination go wild.

Rakhi continued "I will never quit the Bollywood after marriage like some of the actresses have done. My first love is my job. (Yes, she said job!) I have given my blood to make it big. Marriage will be a part of my life. It's not my top priority" Please can anybody tell her she is not exactly "IN" the Bollywood to quit!? Or is she not aware of the fact that one should go IN to get OUT?

Incidentally I remember a controversy that surrounded Rakhi Sawant and troubled her at the beginning of her movie career (If anything that sort really exist) some tabloid printed on the front page that she is a transsexual! Followed by few other yellow news papers that the sex queen is a shemale! Poor Rakhi had hard time to convince the public through different electronic media that she is a real girl born with all human lady parts. Rakhi really was in a trap that she can't open up and show to the public but same time wanted to convince them desperately! There were rumors some big shots in Bollywood got totally confused with this puzzle gone to Rakhi's house in Mumbai and made sure she is not a transsexual!

Rakhi Sawant also fears that the winner will turn out to be a fame-hungry monster once the cameras are switched off.

"When the cameras are on, every body is nice. They are all Mr.Goody-goody. Let me see what happens when cameras are switched off. (the lights too!) I would never want to be in a position where he lives off my money. Don't you think I deserve better? (Certainly!) All my life I have taken care of my family, so there is no chance in hell that I will take care of my husband too." Ladies and gentleman, now you know who fed her family! It is she. Not her brother!!

"I am willing to give him time but I would hate it if he turned out to be a Ghar Jamai (cuckold husband who parks himself in the bride's house) He will have to use his brain cells, the way I used mine to become a celebrity (really brain cells? Or something else?) With this show they have become small time celebrities. But now it is up to them to become someone big. They should turn out as smart as Sharukh Khan, Amir Khan and Salman Khan. So I am giving my would-be a time frame of one or two years."

I have a serious question to Elesh Parujanwala the one had chosen by Rakhi Sawant. If you can be another Sharukh or Aamir Khan in two years time wouldn't be you getting a better bride than a mare item girl who shakes her belly for bread? And how the hell you gonna introduce yourself in public? Rakhi's chosen one, or the father of Rakhi's kids? Tomorrow how you gonna answer your kids if they ask you why you married mom in a game show?

Now Rakhi Sawant is trying to give us a hint by saying " I will also make clear to the winner. I don't believe in live-in relationships. I am an Indian girl and my culture doesnt allow me to sleep around with men. If I allow such liberties what is the difference between me and Firang Ladki? (western girl) I may wear short skirt and low waist jeans (more often won't wear anything) but I am not broad minded in such matters. If he ever crosses his limit, that's it for him. It's over between us."

Helpless poor chaps, came all the way to the well for a drop of water, now the owner of well is refusing to give the water!

Though most unlikely to happen I hope Rakhi Sawant's wedding will take place in one or two years time with the same person and it will last forever. You must be wondering what hint she left for us to guess, expect Rakhi Ka Swayamvar IInd part soon!

Book of Buchanan – Another failed venture!

If you are writing a book, or planning to write a book for sure you know how to hype it up to get the best sales figures, isn’t it? Bitch about someone just smiled at you other day, talk about an affair with your nanny, degrade someone who is currently on his/her peak time, to the extend say you bedded your neighbor’s wife etc. these are few tips to entertain the readers as well as bring the much needed attention to the book. This ritual has been practiced for decades by number of writers and non-writers, and quite remarkable to see them happening over and over again. I am talking about those new writers who are seeking the public consideration desperately. Lately a sentry who guarded Michael Jackson’s house came out with a book accusing MJ as a gay! Next day his ex-nanny published another book claiming MJ’s family members are greedy for the treasure that MJ had hidden somewhere in closet, I am sure if the book has to be published a month ago MJ himself would be searching for this so called treasure that only his nanny knows! After all these hoopla what happens following the book hit shelves? The writer come up with the denial and says his book has taken out of context!! Hoping some more people will buy his book to elucidate who is right the writer or electronic media.

There is one more name to add to the list of writers who made the drone before their book release, it is none other than former Australian cricket coach John Buchanan. He poke at the sleeping tigers without any particular reason other than eying on book sales, as victims always should be big names; here too the story is not different. Buchanan questioned and challenged Indian dummy god Sachin Tendulkar, the wall Rahul Dravid, prince of Kolkatta Sourav Ganguly and probably less coloured them all VVS Laxman in his latest “fictitious” work.

I must admit the fact, I had lost the believe in Buchanan’s ability as coach in the light of his recent deeds especially his “non-performance” as Kolkatta Knight Rider’s coach in second edition of IPL! He was one of the most confused human on earth to come up with the nonsensical multi-captain theory, the whole cricketing world condemned it and made noise, Sourav Ganguly’s (then captain of KKR) fans showed their extreme anger by burning effigies of Buchanan on the streets of Kolkatta, unfortunately one person went unheard about all these buzz is the owner of the team Mr. Sharukh Khan. He paid the price for unwise ignorance in later stage but by the time damages has been done.

There was a strong reason why Buchanan turned as a confused bloke during his tenure with KKR. His Laptop affected by a weird Trojan virus, when he clicked on start button it shuts down the window, when he opened a site for long leg fielding tricks it opened long leg of a white whore in a porno site, clicked on program menu it went to the format options! To fuel the agony he is one coach who always rely on Laptop, what you expect him to do when his laptop is as confused as this? He too mystified just like his laptop and came out with a totally bewildered chap’s typical outlandish thinking!

To me a coach is only as good as the team he has. During Buchanan’s candy days with Cricket Australia, he had a team that in fact required a little prompting with an array of enviable talent. Such was Steve Waugh’s squad that need no coach at all, from the top captain Steve Waugh to the bottom Brett Lee knows their role correctly and properly, and eager to apply their share of contribution to the team. Aussies would be having lesser trophies than what they have now only if Buchanan had to open his laptop more often that he is doing with other teams he is coaching! Look at inaugural edition of IPL, Rajasthan Royals had no coach; they triumphed as champions with clever captaincy by Warnie and almost all new comers with high energy level to prove their worth. Each and every one of the team members knows their business only too well to be told anything at all.

Under the circumstances, Buchanan merely moved with the flow like a true blue blood Australian and stretched out in the reflected glory of the team. However during his tenure there were plenty of whispers of a discord between Buchanan and some of the senior players including Steve Waugh, and Shane Warne. Notably heard by outer world was Warnie’s voice, he had his own share of problems with his wife and girl friends, his marriage was on rock, following all these personal problems that nobody in the world could fix it, he came to the team to see this middle aged man doing nothing but chewing salad sandwiches in regular intervals and taking away the credits and splendors of team’s success! Warnie’s expression published in the news papers “an international team no need a coach” made a furor between him and Buchanan.

Nobody is questioning Buchanan’s right to express his views and expertise about cricket to the media, but he should be able to back them up with his performance. He got carried away with his own perceived importance during his tenure with KKR. Initially plotted and perished, drowned the team with him into mediocrity and failure!

Buchanan’s only success was he managed to keep himself in the spotlight with his amateurish blunders. After IPL disaster the man managed to get himself back on the news lines by allegedly “spilling the beans” act with English coach ahead of Ashes series. For a man who hailed as a greatest cricketing coach in the world following Steve Waugh’s amazing run of success, Buchanan exposed his triviality with his latest acts and statements.

Every publisher with sales figures in their mind will ask the writer to include a chapter or two with a little twist, sex. Classic gimmick to make pre-sale publicity is abuse someone who did nothing to the author. If accused is shocked, and the audience who heard about it is shocked, the book definitely going to be a hit! It is bound to trigger some controversies eventually book sales figures.

But let me tell you something, Buchanan’s book The Future of Cricket: The rise of Twenty 20 is a big yawn. It is not a literal work or any thing that sort. Some one asked him to write about cricket, he wrote it probably while high on drugs!

Martin Bashir – A moron behind MJ’s death!

If yes, I am ready whole heartedly to go to the jail to spend years; still if I get a laptop I will be calling him the same through all possible websites from the prison. Why do I have to hate this guy so much?

As everyone knows he is the one who painted Michael Jackson in filthy canvas. He is the one who ate, drunk and breath in Michael Jackson’s expenses for long 8 months for the sick documentary called Living with Michael Jackson which was viewed by 14 million in UK and 38 million in the US! He is the one who killed Michael Jackson!!

Martin Bashir is a British investigative journalist shot into fame by interviewing Lady Diana about her failed marriage with Prince of Wales for BBC in 1995. He came to wide prominence and grown as a celebrity journalist. He too had a small fan following, can be seen signing autographs in major celebrity events. In 1999 Bashir quit BBC to join ITV. ITV paid a huge amount of money for pulling Bashir into their side. As everyone expected Bashir has to show his metal very badly to claim his worth. He was in a tremendous pressure after few mediocre sensational news bits those fell flat. Then he came out with this idea of having interview with Michael Jackson in 2003 with the help of Uri Geller, MJ’s good friend and spoon bender. It supposed to be truth revealing documentary for MJ to show his innocence to the world about child molestation case, ironically, it became the reason for MJ’s downfall!

Uri Geller recommended the iconic pop star to the TV journalist. Bashir proposed that nothing be off-limits in this investigation, a proposal that was accepted by Michael Jackson. Little was known that this documentary would soon cause further scrutiny towards “Wacko Jacko” the name that represented the agonizing final part of his life!

Martin Bashir spent days and nights with King of Pop, he saw, felt and sensed MJ’s day in and day out. He literally lived in MJ’s expense. Knowing this journalist by his work with Lady Diana MJ just trusted this moron blindly and took him along wherever he goes. Concerts, meetings and fun filled journeys. MJ showed Bashir the amazing Neverland like never seen before! Bashir appreciated and promised MJ it going to be an eye opener for the world to know the King of Pop so close and personal!

Rest is history. Bashir’s documentary did exactly opposite to what Michael was expecting and hoping for. It fuelled the downfall of a greatest human being more than a singer, even faster. The documentary is still able to be viewed on YouTube. In these short clips Bashir’s ruthless and heartless attitude of journalism is revealed at the expense of the man who has been wrongly tarnished by the world. From MJ’s view it was like a desperate attempt to clear his name, but fait slapped him again by a fame gluttonous yellow journalist!

All love, charity and help that conveyed by Michael Jackson is conveniently ignored and edited by Bashir, instead he brought up, prioritized child molestation case! When MJ confessed about sleeping with kids but declined any sexual doings Bashir aired only MJ’s word of sleeping with kids! But that is not the main reason why Bashir’s interview is unforgivable. Watching the last part of the documentary is especially moving, as the ‘King of Pop’ has to explain himself regarding Bashir’s awkward questioning on Jackson’s children. Pleading that ‘love’ is being lost in the world, and his emotion perhaps cites his own childhood woes. It puts clearly into perspective, for anyone with a heart softer than a stone, the reasons for Michael Jackson’s special relationship with children. Bashir constantly asked about MJ’s numerous plastic surgeries, health issues, and didn’t leave without touching up on even his sex life! So this is what killed the greatest singer on planet. Constant loss of trust disillusioned Jackson with anyone close to him. After this tragic incident MJ frequently fired his housemaids and staffs, a sign of a man who entered in to a disturbed psychological status!

Martin Bashir earned a lot of money and fame by bringing down a man who always sung, wrote and spoke about love and affection. He literally dismantled the spirit of MJ, it’s only a matter of time before the body gives up. Michael Jackson’s camp responded with their own documentary “Michael Jackson Interview – the footage you never meant to see” Where MJ’s crews had recorded same interview with hidden cameras that even Bashir is not aware of. That is how the world came to know about a fox in a sheep’s garb! It clearly shows how Bahsir had edited and masked MJ's transperant answers and quotes, how he twisted the whole interview to turn against King of Pop! But still I doubt about its publicity and viewer ship that of compare to Bashir’s version!

Martin Bashir is an unethical journalist and an atrocious racist who love to do anything to glorify his own image and status, he is the one brought down Olympic Track Star Marion Jones, an American-African. And America is feeding his filthy belly by providing him a job in US network ABC. In fact it was United State’s favor to Bashir for killing it's own son!

Now Uri Geller says recomending Bashir to MJ was the biggest mistake he did in his entire life, and he considers it as a “betrayal”; perhaps I would say Martin Bashir was the epitome of canny, deceitful men that played a part in Michael’s downfall, and eventual death! Bashir has Michael’s blood on his hands, in his zeal to establish himself as prominent journalist he sacrificed a lovable human being.

The stain of MJ’s blood will never fade out from your hand Mr.Bashir, regardless of your constant approach to wash it off by saying “MJ is the greatest entertainer” after killing him brutally by your unscrupulous way of journalism.

Anna Kournikova - A make shift!

Anna Kournikova is still the center of attraction where ever she goes. In tennis court she moves like a cheetah every time before gives up to the opposition. A tennis sensation from the time she was a teen spent more time posing for the photographs than in the tennis court playing singles!

Now finally she made a make shift to do something better than she has been doing for years, no. I am not exactly talking about her tennis credibility but off-court stories. Her playing career on WTA tour finished long time ago. These days Kournikova focused on getting fans to look at her work rather than her style, but unfortunately her fans are like one big hypnotized community that will see nothing but her look, they apparently told her she can do whatever possible for charity but they will look at her as admirers forever and don’t disallow their rights to do so!

“I never thrived on attention” Kournikova said in an interview recently “I never was in it for attention.”

She is trying to shed her image as over hyped tennis player to transform as a good will ambassador. She became children’s advocate through her work with the clubs of America and other charities. Sizzling under the hot sun in suburban Philadelphia, Kournikova holding a small tennis clinic for a bunch of lucky kids who were learning the basics of the game from former Grand Slam Doubles champion. Actually she learnt the basics from some veteran tennis stars there around before go to the clubs to teach the youngsters! Kournikova should have put this endeavor a long time ago before coming in to the tennis arena, then at least by now she would be having more single trophies in her show case to replace those glossy magazine covers!

“With my name I feel like I have a voice” Kournikova said about her plans for visiting the troops in Iraq. Definitely we know she got a voice, otherwise she would be on losing side in that brutal cat fight that broke out in a night bar couple of weeks ago. A jealousy female sitting in front of Kournikova in the bar just threw a beer jar at her without any particular reason! Right, she was drunk, but how could some one do this?! The small crowed that witnessed the fight said if Kornikova only had a tennis racket, she would have finished that strange lady in first serve!

“Don’t swing so hard, I know you have got a lot of power” Kournikova laughed at a kid who was practicing under her expertise. She crouched to get eye-level while instructing the kid. One of the kids seems pissed off by her bossy attitude and way of talking asked his friend who is this lady. The poor chap didn’t have any idea about Kournikova!

“A lot of them just 8 years old” Kournikova said “they even don’t know who I am”

Moments later she was off to what she is best at. Photo shoot and promotional appearance at the mall, it was nearly interrupted by her huge number of male fans who got too close to Kournikova (hypnotized community) the security needed to intervene to rescue her at the end. Some of them behaved like zombies moving forward with rising hands, didn’t even notice the strong presence of security personalities! Kournikova whisked away to meet and greet, then shuffled off to a VIP tent to have more photos with sponsors.

Kournikova did everything she could possibly do except tennis. She was scheduled to play for the St Louis Aces against the Philadelphia Freedoms in the American-based World Team Tennis. Kournikova wore a protective band on her left wrist to show that she is injured and going to miss the season with wrist injury!

“It is ridiculous, terrible!” between bites of salad, green beans and carrots Kournikova said. The servant from the restaurant almost gone faint, his face became pale like a dead man. “Madam those are fresh vegetable…” poor fellow stammered for words.

“Not to you. I am talking about my injury, I am so bummed.”

Relieved servant gone ahead with his work without showing any embarrassment.

Kournikova has been linked to the singer Enrique Iglesias for long time now, but declined to talk about it when press asked.

Injuries cut short Kornikova’s playing career in 2003, and her latest setback was a reminder why she was never able to stage a serious comeback. “The body is already beat up.” She said. Sprinkling the photo shoot there and here is making her happier than playing tennis. She is the only tennis player in the world who is having more hits on the internet than with the tennis racket that she managed to do while performing.

“I think it is so cool” She said. “It was a lot of hard work; it was a lot of satisfaction for my family and me. It was also fun.”

Sure, she never won a major championship. But Kournikova feels she doesn't have to defend her career - even without an appearance in a singles final in any of the four Grand Slam events.

'It's true. It's statistics,' she said. 'But I look at my other statistics and they perfectly, happily satisfy me.' The press puzzled by her answer, few of them were discussing about it after Kournikova left for another photo shoot, what statistics she was referring to, tennis or something else?

Michael Jackson’s Ghost – Is it real?

I was totally wrong to think that exciting stories of Michael Jackson are over! And while facing thousands of news and reality bits around the world through electronic media once again MJ strikes! This time with bizarre news of them all!

In the form of Ghost! I am sure few of you must of aware of it; Michael Jackson appeared in Neverland from beyond grave!

Fans of the late King of Pop are debating a sighting of a ghostly figure on CNN late last week as cameras were taken on a guided tour of Michael Jackson's Neverland ranch in California.

The bizarre footage shows the ghost moving across a hallway half way down the live video. The presenter reporting live and camera crew fail to see the figure.

Video and photo taken from the CNN 'Inside Neverland' Larry King Live special appear to show a ghost like figure scooting across one of the rooms inside one of the main buildings on the Neverland Ranch Michael Jackson used to call home.

Video of the Michael Jackson ghost is captured when the CNN camera is pointed down a long hall-way; suddenly the human shaped shadowy figure appears at its far end.

When I saw the video footage first time around it looked to me as if a shadow of someone walking outside, sneaked through a window. None of the CNN crew noticed it at the time of shooting, after seeing this paranormal figure in the video the king of pop’s fans started calling to CNN office to draw their attention to this peculiar incident, and news didn’t take much time to spread like a wildfire!

As usual there were debates and cross examinations. Let’s inspect this video methodically inch by inch. Let’s see if we can get the truth out of it.

If you look closely to this shadowy image moving left to right, the figure is not transparent over the chimney at the time it was passing. If it is really a ghost or supernatural figure it should be completely transparent according to the ghost experts! Someone came up with this explanations to clarify there is no ghostly act in this video!

Agreed, there is no transparent shadow over the chimney hole while passing it, but then it is a dark background (the Chimney hole) almost the same saturation and darkness of the shadow, so how will some one see the overlapped shadow in front of chimney hole? Not convinced enough? OK, let me make it more clear, face a wall while a bulb illuminating behind you, now you can see your own shadow on the wall, place your hand on your chest, can you see your hand’s shadow? Can you see your finger’s shadow? No! Never!!

Why the shadow is not extensive if it is coming from out side? It has to start from the window to cast over the walking hall. Look at the video one more time; see the shadow moving almost independently as if there is no physical intervention! And finally to destroy all our logical thinking capabilities; this shadow has a shadow!!! (Reflection) Look at the floor while the ghostly image was passing, you can easily spot a mirror image on the shining floor! It is incredibly chilling! CNN interview show was a live program, so there is no scope for stunt show or video editing! Incidentally I recalled MJ’s words that he said it in an interview.

“I don’t like to die; I want to live for ever!”

I am not sure whether it is MJ’s ghost though...

...then who was that if it is not MJ?

It seems like Michael Jackson is making more news after his death than when he was alive. All sort of speculations, allegations and guess works are filling every Tabloid, Magazine and News paper columns! Thousands of journalists were going through mental depression because of lack of genuine news thread that capable to excite the public. Korean nuclear threat and Iraq blasts reached a point where it won’t strike an iota of emotions to common man’s mind while enjoying the bed coffee! Some jouro’s even thinking of a serious career change, few of them joined in world’s leading Porno magazines. I am sure they will shine in there because of the high imagination power and castle in the sky thinking capabilities. (My eyes got extreme round shape while reading the fake autopsy result that leaked out recently – highly inventive!!!) However Michael Jackson’s death turned out to be godsend for those depressed megalomaniacs!

Michael Jackson’s Nannies popped out from various pot holes from different corners, drivers, friends and even those who just saw MJ on TV too came out with stories. Those half baked narratives are missing on logic and fundamental aspects to make up a story too embezzled the central spreads and front pages!

As everyone knows Michael Jackson was broke in his late days, but then he was planning to have greatest come back with 50 concerts in UK, ambitious tour called as “make or brake tour”. Half fit MJ is any time better than those full fit buffoons who still rely on some stunt shows to stay in news lines.

There is strange news about Michael Jackson performing secret gigs for Arab Sheikhs (Kings) for $2.5M! One night concerts for millionaire Sheikhs and billionaire Russians in London can make MJ $2.5M richer! So what? MJ is an inborn entertainer and made chunk of money by performing in front of little audience, website that tried to tarnish MJ’s image even after his death by this piece of crap ended up rotten eggs on their faces! Add to their agony ultimately it worked in favor of King of Pop! The freaky web site creator never thought of having this boomerang effect when they published it! People around the world appreciated MJ for making smart money that too in too many digits almost every night!

Another column filler – Jackson accidentally killed himself!

He was practicing well and just waiting for the curtain raise with complete excitements of a 12 year old boy from Jackson five! It would have been made more sense if he swallowed those medicines between the shows!

Some speculations are utterly imprudent, One website has released a photo says “Jacko on Sunday” - three days after his death - although it does not show his face and there's no proof the snap is new.

Another says that the singer has been planning this for nearly a year-and-a-half and is now hiding in EasternEurope. However, there is no hard evidence to support these claims, reports the Sun. Another site has released a photo it claims is of Jacko, insisting the man who died on Thursday was the singer's body double with a terminal illness whose family will be looked after in return. Another one claims that Jacko's death is a stunt. "Once he is rested and ready will blow the lid off his own hoax and then embark on the most spectacularly lucrative concert tour in the history of rock 'n' roll."

"I never witnessed him actually taking drugs but I knew they were there and I confiscated packages, and Uri (Guru Uri Geller) did too," Sky News quoted Matt as saying.

"And Uri confiscated injection equipment from his room ... Uri would scream at Michael, you know, intensely, to stop doing this but we were getting pushed out.

"The doctor had such an influence over Michael that we felt our efforts were falling on deaf ears. As far as I'm concerned they have Michael's blood on their hands, they know what they've done and there's people out there who could have helped, could have stepped in but didn't do for financial reasons.

"We went to great efforts to keep the doctors away. But as soon as we said anything and it gets back to Michael, Michael would have a screaming fit that we were interfering with his private life, that he knew what he was doing and he was in denial," he added.

The 29-year-old further slammed reports that the Thriller hitmaker was gay, insisting that he met his secret lover on various occasions.

He said: "I'm not going to name who she is but I think the family were aware that there was someone special in his life who he loved and adored and had his ups and downs with. I don't know how long they've been a couple. I know she's been with him for some time in different capacities but...it's up to her if she wants it to come out or the family to speak about this very private information."

Matt, who owns a network of martial arts schools around the UK, further said that Jackson was far from taking hard drugs.

He said: "Michael Jackson was not a druggie. There was no cocaine or anything crazy like that. It was prescription drugs and painkillers from what I understand."

Michael Jackson – The truth behind Dubai controversy!

I must confess first that I am one of a billion fans of Michael Jackson. Why am I talking about Dubai controversy here, well you believe it or not, I was there in Dubai when MJ stirred this small controversy in a big shopping mall called Bar**** Centre by entering woman’s toilet! Probably I only can tell the world what really happened in there! So take my words; what I am going to write here is truth, only truth!

Michael has been going through unbelievable pain and self destructive journey. The major controversy that shut his career forever was the child molestation scandal. That haunted him like a ghost. Despite the court never charging him for the 1993 accusations, the media continued to hack at the singer. The complainants, Jordan Chandler (then 13) and his father Evan Chandler, refused to pursue the case, instead preferring to settle with $22 million in settlements. Michael Jackson, who faced a 25-minute strip search by the police during the case, was left distraught, tired and humiliated.

Media never let him go. Painted in a very unfavorable light the singer found it hard to stay away from the glare of the mad media. This is the man who entertained a generation with his ever die music albums, this is the man who invented new waves in pop music with high pitch singing style punctuated with squeals and titters, this is the man who stunned billions of people world wide with backward-gliding moon walk and feverish, crotch grabbing dance moves. Does he deserve all what he got in the bad light? No media respected him or give him a ear to listen; they even questioned his marriage with Lisa Marie Presley (Elvis Presley's daughter) dismissed as just another ploy to distract the world from child molestation scandal, in result a man who faced thousands of people on the stage world wide shrunk in to himself without seeing the day light. He spent lion part of his last days in his freakish Neverland residence indulging in a copious mix of drugs and self-loathing. The madness has taken over!

When I was living in Dubai I heard MJ had bought a plot in Bahrain, after a week or two a friend of mine informed me that MJ is in Dubai doing shopping. No doubt Michael Jackson is one of the easiest recognizable human being on the planet! His appearance rings a bell or two even among the farmers in remote villages of African islands. Nobody can blame him wearing “Parda” (A long religious dress for women in Middle East) to hide himself from the public eyes. And parda is most suitable and convenient dress ever one can get to hide. The small flap piece that covers half of the face will convert Michael Jackson to a complete woman, and nobody would dare to stare or suspect him especially in the Middle East, teasing women is a bigger crime than we all think over there, it can fetch capital punishment! MJ was shopping along with his two children, kids were wearing weird looking clothes to cover their faces as well, and now that is attracting some unwanted attention rather than distracting it! MJ is King of Pop and world renowned artist; agreed, but he too has basic requirements of a human being like me and you do. Naturally when he was wearing a female dress he should go to ladies toilet not gents toilet! A female shopper screamed when she saw MJ fixing the hair in front of a common mirror in the ladies toilet! Security personalities arrived almost immediately. Everybody surprised to see Michael Jackson in first place and that too in a Parda! Just like his tragic life, MJ invited something which he was trying to avoid desperately – the whole shopping mall stood around him; some of them are taking pictures with Mobile Phone Cameras. Police arrived instantly for MJ’s rescue; the female who screamed continued to make some more noise as if MJ had raped her. The Police in Dubai need special appreciation for calming the situation down, they spoke to the lady shopper in her own language. After a 10 minutes conversation she agreed on something and left the mall. MJ and kids were trying to get out of the Mall with the help of Police; suddenly the lady appeared again and asked Police an assist to get some lapse money from MJ!!! Now this is seriously funny. Can’t point a finger at this poor lady who has been wrongly convinced by someone that MJ is a soft target to blackmail! At least that is what she or the one advised her understood through the media. Police completely ignored her demand and took MJ and kids to safety.

It was like almost whole world wanted to have a little fun with Michael Jackson, they never let a single opportunity go without poking at him, and we made this legend’s life a living hell with constant ridicule, attacking, already broken man and questioning his very will to survive. A 11 year old from Jackson 5 gone through everything in a span of 50 years; fame, money, biggest embarrassment, romance, failure, scandal and destruction! It's also just pathetic how, on the day of his death, the world turns around and showers praises on a guy we loved throwing dirt at.

'I just want to say to fans in every corner of the earth, every nationality, every race, every language: I love you from the bottom of my heart. I would love your prayers and your goodwill, and please be patient and be with me and believe in me because I am completely, completely innocent. But please know a lot of conspiracy is going on as we speak,' pleaded Michael to the world when the child-molestation trail was on.

His 50 concerts in London were very ambitious even for Michael himself. I truly doubted his ability to perform well at this age and health condition, I am happy it didn’t happen, all those Tabloids in UK and US will be just waiting for the concert to finish to throw some more mock at him, MJ never would have survived another media assault!

I rate Michael Jackson above Elvis simply because of his power packed talent. The lonely King of Pop, who only in death found what he was looking for – some respect! I was happy to see finally some media is actually praising this man which they never did when he was alive!

BCCI – Wolves in sheep’s garb!

Most sort after cricket team bite the dust and bitten it pretty hard. The media celebrated their part quite brilliantly by all sort of criticism and disparagement to the BCCI and cricket team as whole. One can’t deny this uncanny ability of press to make a hero to zero over night. The poster boy Dhoni became a whipping boy, raising star Suresh Raina turned out to be flat pitch bully, rocket launcher Ishant Sharma converted in to run scorer for the opposition! What else, the whole “Dhamaka” we saw last time around with glossy smiles and bhangra steps are settled down like a tempest? Now it is like loser’s battlefield. One can hear and feel the agony and grief if sharpen the ears and mind.

Every defeat and glory has the reason. We applaud and cheered MS Dhoni last time when he won the T20 World Cup and now here after two years we are looking at same MS Dhoni in revulsion for his amateurish way of playing cricket and numerous mistakes he made in the field. Fair enough, the Indian captain made some silly mistakes that even a 5^th grade would hesitant to do but the culprit is not only him, there are few behind the scene hiding and grunting like a beast – still itching for more… BCCI!

IPL was big success, the mercury of over all excitement and anxiety had rose to the top and broken the tube. In IPL we were in a specific comfort level despite of all those hoopla and hype that surrounded the game, whoever wins the cup stays in India! We are late to realize the fact Indian Premiere League is only to entertain us public but in world level cricket we can’t afford to stop raising our bar, need to work harder and better to stay in the competition. South Africa lost the match in semi final, but I would still believe in their ability to beat any team in the world, to evaluate my view look how fast South Africa evolved from ondeday match winners to T20 specialists!? Pakistan came back strongly to fetch the cup this time; washed off all the sin they did in 2007 final match! Srilanka proved to be a tough team to beat. While other countries were preparing for the T20 World Cup Indian team was in a dream zone where they had flower path all the way from Mumbai Airport to the Wankhede stadium the place where ultimately politicians took central stage. It supposed to be felicitation function for jubilant Indian cricket team; the shrewd politicians with special kind of genes in their blood never miss an opportunity to utilize the situations to magnify their own brilliance. The millions of people watched that function all over the world had this kind of bewilderment; did India win the title because of ruling party?

Instead of ridiculing Dhoni and company for the embarrassing defeat let’s try to look at things in a different angle, India was having full of fresh players last time, all of them are young and enthusiastic, few of the old players got chances to show their merit as well. Indian T20 team was real underdogs in 2007. Won the title and lived in the dream, when players were busy receiving appreciations along with some ad endorsements tempt to ignore a simple fact that other nations are practicing and sharpening their skills in T20. Wake up call rung twice, by the time the players realized they are too far behind the team is out of the race!

Fatigue factor is a main issue that Coach Gary Kristen rightly touched up on. But right after making this statement coach turned to look over his shoulder to see how many players are behind to support him faced the reality in its worst form. None of them! Instead Captain MS Dhoni came up to contradict coach’s view “too much cricket is not an issue here” as expected few former players too came forward to support Dhoni. We witnessed it in IPL and T20 World Cup, players are really tired of over cricket, it shows in their body language and the way how they are playing cricket, but the smiling villain BCCI is not convinced yet or pretending to be not aware of this whole situation, they send Indian team straight from England to West Indies. Only for four oneday matches. Trying to be good BCCI extended the helping hand by saying if anybody needs rest they can opt out from the team. The players in their right frame of mind will never dare to do that! Not even Dhoni this time, he is smart enough to pulse the change of tide, add to the misery not everything he does turning out to be just right now days! While pocketing a lot of money from all directions; some one should remind BCCI about a story of a goose that lays golden egg!!!

Shiney Ahuja – Rapist or been Framed -up?

Rape case is always been headline catcher for centuries, what if a celebrity involved in it? The television channels will be celebrating it like a carnival with different interviews and their own versions with top of the range creativity, few channels with reputation of being Sherlock Holmes will be doing their own investigations with hidden cameras fitted every where even on some highly enigmatic undisclosed body parts!

Shyney Ahuja is one of the raising handsome actors in Bollywood. Very much married and has a two year old kid. Why should he rape his house made when there are plenty of angel looking actresses are around him with complete willingness? One can contradict the view of mine with a simple theory of wild - hunter always likes to hunt! Yeah, right! There is no entertainment when the prey is ready to be hunted, thanks to Animal Planet for this information!

The victim, a resident of Vasai suburb in neighboring Thane district, used to commute by local train to Shiney's home daily for doing household chores along with two other part-time servants. One late night when nobody was there at home Shiney raped the girl repeatedly and threatened her to kill if she discloses this to anybody!

Frankly, Shiney Ahuja is in a deep shit already, as if it is not enough for him; in another alarming disclosure, as per general physical examination, the victim could be aged between 17-18 years making her a minor as per Indian laws. DNA samples taken by forensic experts from clothes and other personal belongings of the actor and the victim were sent for tests.

Medical tests conducted earlier had confirmed the girl had been raped!

Shiney Ahuja’s version came out as expected – it was consensual sex. But the teenage girl’s primary test doesn’t support his version!

Sex, city and crime is regular themes of Bollywood, there were number of sex involved controversies those enriched the stars like Jack Shareef and Power Kapoor, but all of them were consensual sex and no rape has been reported till now. This is something new and extremely terrifying!

Now Shiney's wife came for her husband's rescue with the statement to the press says "My husband is been framed-up by someone probably because he is a soft target. I know Shiney for 15 years and he will not commit a crime like this! He is my man!"

What ever the case is, there will be two opinions to everything regardless of good or bad. Let’s see who all are supporting Shiney Ahuja and who all are not;

Pritish Nandy: The matter is under investigation. I strongly believe in justice taking its own course. However, I feel too many people are jumping to too many conclusions. Let's not judge Shiney until the investigations are concluded.

Mahesh Bhatt: The news has shocked and shamed us. The Shiney we at Vishesh Films worked with in Gangster - A Love Story and Woh Lamhe is not the demon that surfaced in the media on Sunday night. If what is alleged is proved in the courts, we must condemn the dastardly deed with all our might. Our outrage cannot be selective.

Anurag Basu: I'm in a state of shocked disbelief. This has got to be conspiracy to malign him. Shiney has done two of his best films with me. We've bonded over a long period of time. Never ever has there been even a hint of bad behaviour from him. I wouldn't have tolerated it. It's not fair to try Shiney on television. Let the law decide. I'll believe it only if Shiney himself tells me. He has worked with some of the most beautiful heroines. No one has ever had any grievance against him. I feel this is a trap to malign him.

J Shiney himself agreed to the police that he had consensual sex with the girl in order to escape the rape charge, we know you won't even believe that until he come to your house and tell you that he had consensual sex with the girl, still you will be insisting to show it in real how it happened to be convinced completely! And we don’t think any heroines will complain against him either!

Sudhir Mishra: What can I say? The Shiney that I know and the Shiney that I hear about now are two different entities. Though he has been a little upset with me for six months because I was working with others actors, we're very close. Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi was not just the film that launched him it was also a turning point in my career. It bonded us for a lifetime. I just can't believe that the Shiney, who is being accused of this behaviour, is the same person I know. There were so many women on the sets. They never had any complaints about Shiney's behaviour. In fact, Shiney did a film with my assistant Ruchi Narain called Kal: Yesterday and Tomorrow . Shiney was always a thorough gentleman. I'm sure there's some misunderstanding here.

J What kind of misunderstanding? The girl raped Shiney with a special tool and media aired the wrong news?! Mr.Sudhir, you are indirectly insulting your assistant Ruchi Narain, now there will be some suspicious eyes on her too! For your kind information; no rapists will be walking around on the streets with his zippers opened and looking for a prey nor do they write it on their forehead!

Mukesh Bhatt: I'm appalled by the way the electronic medium has already labelled Shiney a rapist. You can't do this to a man who has a family, career and a bright future. Do these byte-hungry channels realise how his career would be affected by all these premature and careless reports? Punish him by all means, if he's guilty. But let the law decide that. How do we now what really happened? Anyone can say anything about someone in the limelight. Suppose they had consensual sex? This behaviour seems so out of character and so absurd.

J Agreed. Don’t call him rapist till it is proved. But not anyone is accusing anybody simply because he is in the limelight. For example we are not accusing you for some wrong doings just because you are part of Bollywood!

Kunal Kohli: I worked briefly with Shiney in Fanaa. This is indeed very sad. Rape is the worst crime a man can commit against a woman. If he's guilty, then it's really very shocking and shameful. Any rapist should be dealt with in the severest way.

Shilpa Shetty: It's shocking! I can't believe it. We don't know for sure what transpired between Shiney and the girl and we really can't say what the truth is. But if it really happened, it's sad.

J Mam, the girl got injured by a man’s nail, tooth and ****. And police primary test says it is Shiney the man who raped her. Now what you gonna do? Be sad? That’s it?

Chitrangada Singh: I worked with him in two films. It's very shocking and unfortunate. Though I didn't know him personally, I felt he was a nice guy on the sets. Kept a bit aloof. Quiet and ambitious. He got along with people just fine. I hope the investigations are fair. And that someone doesn't get punished for being a celebrity. He seems to have said it was consensual sex. I think it takes courage to own up. I hope he stays strong through this. People do make mistakes. One has to pay for wrongs done. But the punishment should be fair. And if there's rape, justice has to be done to the girl.

Latest news broke out while I am typing this article, National Commission for Women (NCW) chairperson Girija Vyas urged the Maharashtra government to try the case of Shiney Ahuja in a fast track court, she has come to Mumbai to meet the victim and also expressed her willingness to meet Shiney's wife Anupam.

Shiney has been booked under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sec 376 (rape), Sec 346 (wrongful restraint) and Sec 506 (threat to kill) among others.

India's World Cup Defeat – A butterfly effect!

There is stunning similarities between 1987 Indian one day World Cup defeat and 2009 T20 World Cup defeat. In 1987 Kapil Dev’s devils failed to retain the cup they had won so gloriously four years before in England. As installed as favorites the defending T20 champions India were eying for consecutive world cup title; but this time they were carrying hopes of a billion, unlike last time where nobody had put their money on India especially with the absence of Fab Four! Same cycle India had gone through 26 years ago as nobody had believed in a team that Kapil Dev led to their first world cup victory in England!

As I was not grown enough to watch or memorize a live match that took place in India and Pakistan in 1987, last night I had a chance to watch some of the recorded highlights of Indian innings, had a Goosebumps to see some striking similarities in few bowled outs and run outs! Those old fellows must have had the feeling of déjà vu when they were watching the last match that South Africa defeated India!

Almost all the countries have come to terms with niceties associated with Cricket’s newest and shortest form with so much of matches being played over last couple of years. T20 is not as former Pakistan captain Javed Miandad referred, carnival cricket or slam bang cricket. T20 has scope for matters of strategy, cunningness, and tactical planning. Not all Tom Dick and Harry can play T20; it requires massive power, timing and most significantly a huge chunk of luck! Seemingly a small error can get overblown in a result that goes down to the wire as we witnessed several times in IPL.

In India even Muthayya Muralidaran of Sri Lanka used to get mobbed, stunned spin wizard said nothing this sort happened to him in his own home country. I am not talking about Muralidaran here. Indians have this weird propensity to raise a mediocre player to the status of Super Man and praise him left right and center, build a temple and do whatever possible to magnify his good things and rip him apart when he make couple of errors of judgment. Definitely Dhoni is intelligent enough to know this strange behavior of Indian cricket fans well before. “I was told by a senior a few years ago. He said if somebody is appreciating you, don't hit seventh heaven. If you fall on floor, it wouldn't be good for you. So adopt a central path. I try to do so," Dhoni was visibly disturbed and upset by the large portion of the crowd which booed him in presentation party. I suspect that senior is none other than his predecessor Sourav Ganguly, he too had a nasty time to go through.

It was Dhoni’s over confidence that caused the defeat against South Africa in last super eight games though it was a meaningless match. Dhoni retained the same team including the real culprits of the previous game. He wanted to prove a point or two to his critics the defeat against England was just ” a bad day”, look I gonna beat the best team in the tournament South Africa with the same team, he even celebrated the win when India restricted SA for as little as 130 runs. Well, opposition had some other plan in their mind and executed them beautifully, Dhoni was once again on losing side when the game was over, giving more and more chances to the critics to stone him! By the way the Indian captain is known for taking risks isn’t he?

It is not surprising to see the captain is getting most of the brickbats; there are so many other factors also to be counted besides Sehwag issue that left bad taste in everybody’s mouth, Coach is not been targeted much in blaming game of former players this time around, may be because Gary Kirsten is less flashy character than the former coach. Then Dhoni was the one praised far above the ground by every one when he won the inaugural T20 World Cup for India!

Indian Cricket fanatics started shouting for Dhoni’s head just like how it happened to Kapil Dev 22 years ago when his team failed to retain the World Cup. Critics are busy to find and list down the mistakes that Dhoni did in this World Cup similarly what happened to Kapil Dev in 1987! The media reported Kapil Dev had indifferences with Sunil Gavaskar which later on both of them denied identical to the allegation about the rift between Dhoni and Sehwag, Kapil Dev was suffering from decline of his own form as a bowler similar to Dhoni’s own batting form. Kapil Dev couldn’t continue as Indian captain anymore after the world cup defeat….

Let’s hope history won’t repeat all the time or at least this time! Butterfly effect can cause a fraction of a change in same incidents. Remember Dhoni is yet to lose a test match as captain!

Faded Blue - The conclusion!

You got to admire Indian skipper for admitting the fact that from here on it gonna be a real test of character not only for him but the team as whole. A team that supposed to defend the title got out from the tournament prematurely was extremely embarrassing for every inidians not only for the portion of the crowd which booed the England players in their own home ground but also every Indians around the globe who watched the match in television channels! Nobody could have imagined it would be this bad when Sourav Ganguly said before the T20 World Cup in England real test for Dhoni will come very soon, first it was West Indies and now England tried and succeeded to defeat India with short balls, as they said “ perfume balls”! The whole Indian team including coaches and other staffs need a reality check for hyping it up instead of pumping it up! Let Sachin’s tongue turn gold as he is the first one to predict this Indian team will win the cup again! The Indians couldn’t win even a coffee cup if that is what Sachin meant in any stretch of imagination; instead they looked up and panicked to see the short balls going like meteoroids! I heard Suresh Raina complained to the captain and coach for being targeted by short balls; don’t be surprised if he files a case to ICC against England players for throwing short balls at him!

It was like " a midsummer night's dream" the victorious Indian team arrived in Mumbai after winning the inaugural T20 cup. Well, a lot of water had flown under the bridge after those happy days of 2007 when Dhoni lead a bunch of youngsters to triumph in South Africa, now even Dhoni’s strongest supporters in the team are having two minds to support him!

Dhoni hailed as a thinking captain, always seemed to have the Midas touch about him, everything had taken for granted that he simply can’t do wrong, even his miscalculation became right calculated and swept on by the euphoria in the wake of his stunning deeds. However his recent inability to carry Cehnnai Super Kings in IPL-2 despite of having a boasted team besides his repeated failure as a big hitter in slog overs contributed to a sharp decline in his cricketing fortunes if not endorsements.

Dhoni will come under increased scrutiny in coming days, the Captain who can’t do wrong did everything wrong in this T20, rather strange decisions one should say like how he promoted Jadeja ahead of himself or Yuvraj, omission of better all rounder Irfan Pathan to replace with RP Singh who just can’t bear to stand in front of the stumps for batting etc. I am sure Dhoni would know his team is ill-prepared for the tournament after the wretched issue over Sehwag that cast a shadow besides back to back cricket that drained player’s body and mind alike.

When the billions of Indian cricket fans were shell shocked over their team’s premature exit from the T20 World cup, it was no surprise for former England captain Nasser Hussein. In his view the Indians exposed in conditions that afforded movements besides their notorious inability to handle short pitched balls. In short India had succumbed under unfriendly pitch that behaved like a drunken bitch!

For sure Dhoni had made some blunders this time, sending Jadeja for stabilizing the innings as he said in presentation party is a good thinking, but he failed to measure a most important fact, how long Jadeja would take to stabilize the innings?! By the time he stabilized the innings the game was over, the opposition won the match! The batsmen who came after him were under tremendous pressure to score the runs. Yuvraj bored of standing inside his crease and came out for a change, wicket keeper rattled his stumps in a flash, Dhoni came and hit hard squire cuts and powerful lofted shots to score some singles when a four or six was the order of the moment! Sticking the bat out of the off stump hoping for the ball to come and hit is not a crime, but you can’t expect that ball to go for a six! Despite of odd victories in abroad the stirring performance in Australia and few outstanding batting displays; Indians are still ill-equipped to bat in conditions other than at home. The Indian performance in abroad was never been consistent enough for us to believe that the Indian cricketers have come of age!

Indian cricket team had a big issue over the team selection over a period of time, till former Australian captain Greg Chappell has taken over the most difficult work in the world as Indian cricket coach! He re-wrote the rules and regulations for choosing the players for the national side. Later on his larger than himself ego had clashed with even bigger egoist former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly resulting omission of both!

Nobody knows the yardstick for a good cricketer before when a player get selected for national team, now every body became selectors; courtesy to IPL. Public knows who is better spinner than who, and who is better batsmen to play at No.3! Even they can advice you which player is suitable for all three format of the game and who is the best only for T20! The biggest problem here is how to get rid of an established player from the team based on his current form not the sky touching past credentials of a player. India always struggled in this part; they are just not capable of doing it due to the public erection of emotions and strikes that may take place in India. Thanks to the fabulous four for stepping back from T20 by identifying the game as new generation’s cricket!

Let me introduce you a country that can throw away any cricketer, regardless of their status, stardom or experience, criteria is just simple, current form! There are no strikes in the country because of selectors sacking the players, no slogans and no burning effigies. Andrew Symonds gone for fishing instead of attending a team meeting and Cricket Australia asked him to continue fishing. When Symonds had done enough fishing he came back to CA to apologize to take him back to the team. CA has taken him back with one and only warning, the repetition of the mistake can cause him elimination from the national team forever!

Symonds can skip a meal, sex, and Play Station, but not liquor. So when he has been asked to chose from two - play cricket or have beer - the obvious pick for him was what you guessed; the second one! One can easily justify his decision if you are following his career in recent times, he still can play cricket in IPL or Lancashire if he wanted to but unfortunately there is no substitute for alcohol.

Now there is another established player under fire for not scoring runs and bad strike rate. Micheal Clarke – Australian vice captain! He is one player who got a lot of female fans in Australia and England; his innocent blond lady look earned him a lot of male fans too. This amazing feat doesn’t seem to be affecting him at least in his professional life; he wasn’t good enough for T20 from the beginning when he started playing T20 and does he now?! So there is a consistency through out his T20 life. Well done boy. I remember a story of an ex-military man who always claims he is still strong as before. When someone asked him how he could be as strong as before, the 80 plus ex-military man answered he couldn’t lift a rock weighed a tone that located in front of his house and still he can’t!

In 18 Twenty20 internationals, Clarke has scored only 189 runs for an average of 17, but the bigger worry is his strike-rate of 106. This compares to Andrew Symonds (strike-rate 169), Simon Katich (146) and Mitchell Johnson (164).

Even Mike Hussey, hardly a dasher, has a strike-rate of 134.

Australia has always struggled in Twenty20 and Cricket Australia CEO James Sutherland admits the time has come for a major overhaul.

India got to learn a lesson or two from Cricket Australia, not the batting or fielding this time for a change, to take a firm decision on player’s selection and rejection!

Freida Pinto – A lost love story!

As soon as one become a star there will be hell of a lot controversies coming and hitting from all directions. It was not different in Freida Pinto’s (Slumdog Millionaire fame) case as well, shot into fame over night. In London, US and India she became one of the most recognizable faces! Thanks to the brilliant Oscar winner movie Slumdog Millionaire. Being famous and being recognized by the crowd was a beautiful feeling for her in the beginning as she was one of the millions walking down in the street without drawing any attention till last year. Dany Boyale turned her struggling professional life upside down to provide the fortune along with her co star Dev Patel in the same movie.

Freida Pinto never revealed her private life in any interview, suddenly a news broken out that she was married to an Indian called Rohan Antao in Goa in December 2007, she kept the wedding as a top secret because as aspiring actress in Bollywood, spinster stand a better chance to strike big in glamorous world than that of a married one!

Rohan Antao seems to be heartbroken after Pinto ended up the relationship in January 2009. The fame, money, glitters are blinded Pinto to such an extend; she can’t even recognize her own husband in a fine morning. The couple had been together since 2004, Rohan stood by her through thin and thick, each and every time she fails to impress Mumbai movie Directors, he gave her the shoulder to ease on. He was her encouragement and support, they both studied in St Xavier's collage in Goa. When she took up modeling as a profession he provided her everything she required, physically, mentally and financially. According to one of their common friends; "Freida and Rohan fell in love at college and were extremely close. They were great together. The marriage was an impulsive decision and both of them went to a designer to get the gown made. Rohan was with her throughout her years as an actress when she was not at all famous. He supported her during the filming of Slumdog and the pair even celebrated the film's success at the Toronto Film Festival together last year. However, she just stopped calling him around the time of the Golden Globes awards, when the film started to make waves internationally. He is completely shocked at being dumped and is heartbroken."

A great story for a full masala bollywood movie is already here, just like some greats said in the past the real life is stranger than fiction! A poor fellow who loved his wife with his heart and tears, supported and pushed her to fame, hung around at each studio doors where she had interviews and screen tests, smoked hundreds of cigarettes while waiting for her to come back from the shooting locations after the modeling assignments, at the end he has been dumped like an ice stick right after she achieved all what he wished for! Can’t strike a tragedy in one’s life worst than this!

Freida Pinto’s Indian agent, Meenakshi Gehani, said: "We do not want to comment on this matter. However, if she is married then whoever is claiming it should produce a marriage certificate."

Frieda met Rohan for the last and final time to beg him not to spoil her shooting star career; she was ready to give anything he asks for except herself. Money, wealth, flat or luxury car. The dejected lover wiped off his tears and walked away from her, in that long quick walk not even once he turned around and looked at her! He was the one once running her website and handling her publicity to launch her career hoping and dreaming to be a proud husband with her in red carpet and flashing lights when she become famous one day!!

The latest news is Freida is in love with 5 years younger, Slumdog Millionaire co-star Dev Patel! Both were denied the news before several times though the press had caught them lip locking and cuddling in beaches and cafes! Now Freida had confirmed she is dating 19 year actor Dev Patel describing him as a lovely boy! “ the friendship blossomed after the movie, it got even stronger now! This is all new to us”

For some unknown reason Bollywood bad man Gulshan Grover doesn’t seems to have such a good liking towards Freida Pinto. In recent visit to LA Gulshan Grover told his white friends that Frieda Pinto’s overnight success is not a big deal, in fact he went on claiming; each and every Goan girls resembles Frieda. But after seeing Freida’s steamy pictures in so many western glamour magazines; none of them were ready to believe Gulshan, they tried to correct Gulshan in return saying she is one hot chick, and deserve all the success she is having now! Mmm, now I know the yard stick for an American actress to be a successful one!

Dev Patil’s mother also seems to be very happy. “First it was the film and now everything else seems to have slotted into place. Life can't get any better for him. "Freida is really beautiful and I am really happy for them."

In February 2009 Slumdog Millionaire co star Anil Kapoor claimed that the couple were having a secret relationship, now we know Anil bhai was right on the money! OK, Mr.Anil Kapoor, what all the other stories you knows about them? Like, how often they share the bed, which position she prefers, what all they talk in free time, why is she laughing loud whenever they are together…

What ever the case we wish a much better life for Rohan Antao, and really hope he get some brains to avoid the mistake that he did with Pinto in future!

Dhoni v/s Sehwag – Truth revealed!

As I said before there is a fire underneath that thick white smoke.

There is certain smugness about Indian cricket that financial brawn work better than brains. So much so that instead of putting Sehwag through the fitness check scanner, the administrators simply went by the word of the player who in his part guilty of hiding his injury. If BCCI is having any sense at all, should be warning Sehwag for hiding his injury and give an example for the other players, some disciplinary measure should have been taken to avert him from doing so in future. But it is most unlikely to happen in Indian cricket as most of the cricketers are bigger than the game itself.

In Sehwag’s case BCCI has taken a stand to count all Sehwag’s talent, experience and record to wash off his guiltiness that he did to such an extend to pollute the team atmosphere in dressing room.

Sehwag has been a prolific batsman who gets runs in any surface that too in no time, agreed, but he should have set a good example by opting out from the T20 World Cup by admitting his injury that got struck in IPL. I am assuming Sehwag was little scared of the media for blaming him playing for money in IPL without looking after his fitness, where more important match is ahead to represent hi country. When he knew he was not fit for cricket, Sehwag should have done a favor to the Indian cricket team by opting out rather than going to England with the team and make unnecessary dispute with the captain.

Dhoni was furious for a million reasons, no captain worth his salt will tolerate a player who is so important in team planning and strategy hides his injury. This is the lone reason Dhoni had to have verbal fight with Sehwag, by knowing the attitude of Sehwag he will never step behind when a fight brake out, putting forward all his own reasons to contradict the view of captain and team.

Dhoni also need to be blamed partially for his childish behavior with Indian media. Rather than fighting with the journalists to show the world how he fought with Sehwag in the dressing room and distributing embarrassingly nursery quality piece of paper with nasty handwriting to reveal how bad his own hand writing is, he would have drew more dignity by coming clean on this issue with a proper press meet with calm and cool temperament.

Nobody shed tears after they learnt Viru is departing from England but only one player! He is none other than Rohit Sharma, ironically it was the tears of joy. He get chance to open the batting without any pressure or threat, and till now when this writer is typing this article; he has been doing marvelous job with the bat in opening slot. Grabbing the opportunity with both hands in absolute greediness.

Now Dhoni had revealed great news for the millions of Indian cricket fans that he is not planning to come at no.3 throughout the tournament. It seems like one of his thousands of experiments gone badly wrong. Good thing is he realized it before it gets too late.

The lack of openness, players being unapproachable and unprofessional ways of dealing the media, lack of BCCI’s insights all contributed the shadowy scenario that you find beneath the glossy and polished surface. Now the tempest has settled down, not many damages are done as everyone in opposition had expected. Let’s start a smooth and comfortable run in T20 World Cup especially after entering in super eight with 100% success rate!
